The same buzz from the first time he came caught August's attention as the cell doors were opened once again. Darren walked in and picked up the phone on the other side of the screen. August sat down and picked up the phone saying, "Hi, Dad."
"What are you doing here, Gus?" Darren asked. "Is everything alright?"
"Yeah," August replied, "yeah, everything's great. Your business partners are really boring, though."
Darren chuckled. "Tell me about it. Boring old prunes in jackets trying to control the tech world when they can barely open up a smartphone."
August laughed. "Anyways, after I let them out, I went into your... er, my office, and I found something on a little suit on the shelf."
Darren perked up, knowing exactly what this was. "And what did you find from it?"
"Well, it said, 'File: Fall.' I looked it up on the computer, but it is password protected. What is the password?"
Darren leaned a little closer and put the phone closer to his face. "I can't say. That file is highly classified and extremely important. I can't risk cameras and microphones to catch it." Darren looked around and whispered, "Do you remember what you used to do when you were bored?"
August nodded. "Spin a coin for as long as I can."
Darren nodded. He opened his mouth to speak, but the same buzzing sound from before rang. A security guard walked in. Quickly, Darren said, "If you get bored, there's a collector's coin on the shelves for you." He hung up as the security guard took him out of the room. August watched as his dad was taken out of sight, the phone still to his ear.
He just sat there for a minute, making sure he remembered exactly what his father said.
Collector's coin. Office shelf. Spin.

Groggily, Sarah rose from her bed, rubbing her eyes and getting adjusted to the light. Her mind was still out of it at the moment. She couldn't get a good night's rest after that dream. Even through the night, she thought about what her dream was. Was it trauma? Just a nightmare?
Sarah shrugged. Who knows?
She climbed out of bed and slumped downstairs. As she looked around, she realized she was the only one up. That makes sense; she never really got used to sleeping in. As per her usual weekend routine, she made herself a cup of hot chocolate with whipped cream and caramel drizzle and sat on the couch. She sipped her drink and sighed. This was the first weekend in a month where she truly felt relaxed. Her dad was home, Cassie was safe, and no one had to worry about Darren Cross hurting anyone else.
For the first time in forever, the world seemed to stand still and simply be.
I have been writing in bulk, and I am surprised I have not abandoned it yet lol
