Alli's POV

I was helping Anakin train with his lightsaber when I knocked his lightsaber out of his hands and kicking him to the ground, "Aw come on." Anakin said. "Not bad but footwork how many times do I have to tell you Ani?" I asked him. "I am sorry Master I have been working on it." "I can tell." I said holding my hand to him. He took it which I helped him up.

"You know I am one of the only people that can win against her Anakin." My boyfriend for ten years said. "Only because you can kiss her." Anakin sassed Obi-Wan. I tried to hold in a laugh but couldn't, "That is not true." Obi-Wan said. "Oh that's so true." I laughed at him. He walked over to me, "Darling it is not true." "Oh but it is Master." I said as he made it over. "If you two are going to make out remember Master Windu and Master Yoda said to do that in either of your rooms Masters." Anakin said. "Thanks for ruining the moment Ani." I said to our apprentice. He just smiled at the two of us and walked off. Obi shook his head then kissed my forehead. I went and showered as we had a meeting with the Chancellor about protecting someone.

Once I finished I met up with Obi and Anakin in the elevator where Anakin seemed nervous, "You seem a little on edge." Obi said. "Not at all." Anakin said. "I haven't felt you this tense since we fell into that nest of gundarks." Anakin and I scoffed at him, "You fell into that nightmare master and we rescued you." Anakin said. I laughed at the two of them then looked at Anakin again, "You're sweating relax take a deep breath." I told him. "I haven't seen her in ten years Master." He said. I looked at him shaking my head when the door opened.

"Obi? Alli?" Jar Jar's voice came. We walked out of the elevator, "Obi! Alli!" He cheered shaking our hands which we smiled at him. "Mesa so smilen to seein yousa boths." Jar Jar said. "Good to see you again Jar Jar." Obi said. "Senator Padme." Jar Jar said showing us to her. "Mesa palos here lookie lookie Senator desa Jedi arriven." Jar Jar said as I walked in first.

I bowed when Padme hugged me and smiled, "You're a senator now?" I asked her. "And you're a Master Jedi now." She said. We both smiled at each other as Obi bowed shaking her hand, "It has been far too long Master Kenobi." She said. She looked behind both Obi and I seeing a nervous looking Anakin, "Ani? My goodness you have grown." Padme said as Anakin walked forward shy. "So have you grown more beautiful I mean." Anakin said with a soft tone. "Well f-for a senator. I mean." They both laughed nervously, "Ani you will always be that little boy I knew on Tatoonie." She said with a smile.

"Our presence here will be invisible milady we can assure you." I said as we sat across from her. "I'm Captain Typho of her majesty's security service Queen Jamillia has been informed of your assignment I am great you are here Master Kenobi and Master Stark the situation is more dangerous than the senator will admit." Captain Typho said. "I don't need more security I need answers I want to know who's trying to kill me." Padme said. "We are here to protect you senator not to start an investigation." Obi-Wan said. I went to nod, "We will find out who is trying to kill you Padme. I promise you." Anakin said. Obi sent him a look as I sent him a look like leave it but knowing my boyfriend when it comes to Anakin he won't.

"We will not exceed out mandate our young Padawan learner." "He meant that in the interest of protecting her Master Kenobi." I said in the leave it alone or else tone. Obi crossed his arm, "But Anakin we will not go through this again just pay attention to our lead." I said to Anakin. "Why?" Anakin asked. "What?" Obi and I asked him. "Why else do you think we were assigned to her if not to find the killer protection is a job for local security not Jedi it's overkill masters investigation is implied in out mandate." Anakin said. "Anakin we talked about this we will do what the council instructed us to understand?" I asked Anakin. "Yes Master." Anakin said. Obi went to say something when I shot him a look that he looked terrified of.

"Perhaps with merely your presence the mystery surrounding this threat will be revealed now if you'll excuse me I will retire." Padme said as we bowed. "I know I'll feel better having you here I'll have an officer stationed on every floor and I'll be in the control center downstairs." Captain Typho said as we walked with him.

I stopped seeing Anakin looking at where Padme was disappearing to. I walked over to Anakin seeing him with hurt in his eyes, "What's wrong Ani?" I asked. "Nothing Master." "I am not talking as your master I am talking to you as a friend." I said. He looked at me, "She hardly hardly even recognized me Al I've thought about her everyday since we parted and she's forgotten me completely." I looked at him as I heard the hurt in his voice also could sense it. "Shesa happy. Happier den mesa seein her in a longo time." Jar Jar said as he was listening to us. "You're focusing on the negative Ani be mindful of your thoughts." I said to him. He nodded, "Plus she was happy to see us." I said.

He chuckled softly which he smiled softly, "Hey I saw that." I said. "Saw what?" "I saw that smile." I said looking at him. He smiled again, "You always know how to cheer me up Alli." I smiled at him softly, "I've know you for ten years Anakin I pick up on the smallest things." I said. He nodded, "Now let's check the security." I said to him as I saw Obi looking at the two of us but look away quickly. "Alright Master." He said and walked off.

I walked over to my boyfriend and wrapped my arms around his waist, "I am a little made at you for siding with Anakin." He said. "Ben." I said softly. "He just wants to do what's right kinda like someone he looks up to." I said kissing his shoulder. He looked back at me, "He likes her doesn't he?" "It's a crush you know how that is." I said. "No I don't cause I have a girlfriend." I smiled softly, "We should check security Ani's checking the middle floors, I'll check top and you check bottom." I said. "Alright love." I smiled as he walked away as I went to check the top floors.
