The chains rubbed the skin around my wrists raw, The stinging feeling only getting worse as I was pushed through a set of double doors and into a blinding white hallway. My wings itched to be let out as my thin whip like tail thrashed against the glass walls of the cage.
I was being transported into some government facility for being a freak of nature apparently. I had tight chains around my wrists, ankles, neck and a heavy weight tied around my wings. My tail was loose, but that was what the glass was for, blocking any and all movement. The small horns on my head had binding around them so I couldn't retract or extend them. My pink eyes scanned the room for an escape, looking the guards up and down before tapping on the glass with my sharp nails.
They stopped rolling my cage for a second to look back at me. When they saw that I was only tapping on the glass, they turned around and started pushing the cage again. So I repeated the motion, tapping the glass until they ignored whenever I made a tapping noise. Using that to my advantage, I begun drilling my tail into the glass, occasionally tapping at the crack in the glass with my nails to help break it quicker. Luckily, the guards didn't notice until it was too late.
I rammed my shoulder against the glass, shattering it on impact. The aggressive tug snapped the chains connecting me to the flooring of the cage and I begun sprinting down the hall, fiddling with the wraps around my horns until they came off. Alarms started to ring as my horns sharpened and grew, Using my momentum to dive into a vent shaft. The cover was stuck on my horns, but that's what I was trying to do, now I had something to shield me from tranquillisers and darts.
Sadly, My wings prohibited me from climbing through the vents, so I quickly jumped up and ran through the guards. Bowling them over with my shield as I made a run for the entrance. Unfortunately, every hall looked the same. All of them were plain blinding white halls, causing me to get lost faster than I had hoped. I reached a dead end leading into another set of double doors, hoping with every fibre of my being that this was an escape, I slammed the doors open, only to freeze in shock.
The walls were covered top to bottom in cages with different people inside. Each person had their own little quirk, some being nonvisual and others being physical. What scared me the most was the mas amount of guards in the room, all cutting off my escape. I spun around to find guards behind me as well. A person with a lab coat pushed passed the guards, a sympathetic smile on their face as they inched closer to me. I didn't like the feeling he gave off. Baring my teeth as smoke poured from my mouth, the strangers eyes narrowed as they paused, not taking another step forward, but also not baking away. "Hey, calm down, we aren't gonna hurt you," they spoke calmingly, "my name is Dr. Picani," he reached a hand out to me, which I shook in response. "Techno..." I replied, taking a step back as Picani attempted to take a step forward.
"We adopted you from the orphanage you were in, we need to research you're... Special little features..." He explained, slowly leading me towards an empty cage, probably hoping I wont notice. Unfortunately for him, I noticed. Spinning in my spot, I threw the doctor over my shoulder and into the concrete ground. The guards immediately raced to stop me, pinning me painfully to the ground as their shouts echoed through the large room. I watched in the corner of my eyes as the doctor stood up, wiping the dust from his coat with a flat, unamused expression.
I glared at him as he gave me a cocky smile, gesturing the guards to lock me in the cage. I was roughly thrown inside, the blast proof glass door shutting behind me as the guards mocked me. I scowled, the smoke still pouring from my fanged mouth as I let out a low, threatening growl. The guards closest to the door backed up slightly, trying and failing to hide the fear in their eyes.
The doctor stepped forward, dismissing the guards as he pulled a metal spider like thing from his lab coat's pocket. He opened the slot that I had previously assumed was for food and slipped the metallic spider into the cage. It lit up an orange before scampering towards me. I flinched away, using my wings to boost me up and onto the ceiling, staying there out of the machines reach.
The doctor laughed lightly, amusement shining in his eyes as the spider started climbing the walls. My eyes widened in shock, quickly jumping back to the floor before the spider could reach me.
The person in the cage next door started wheezing like a teakettle as he watched on with amusement. He had no noticeable un human attributes about him other than the odd markings under his emerald eyes. "Stop laughing at my arachnophobia," I complained, completely unaware of the metal spider climbing my pant leg. The stranger only seemed t laugh harder, clutching his stomach as he fell to the floor in a laughing fit. 'it wasn't even that funny...' I thought, before finally noticing the feeling of cold metal on the back of my neck.
I quickly tried to grab at it before it did anything. But even with my reptilian instincts, the spider was already clamping into the skin on my neck. With a final tug at the mech spider, the stinging getting worse by the second, I let out a loud sigh. Slumping against the wall gripping my neck, I glance back towards the green eyed blonde, who stares at me with mild surprise. "They usually start squirming after the first ten seconds..." He speaks up, a smirk on his lips. "And you assume.... Everyone will be like that...." I manage to speak through gritted teeth. The stranger shrugs, "guess the onlooker was right, you aren't a grade B... My code is D4E7M, but everyone calls me Dream, your name is?" I blinked blankly at him, only understanding around fifty percent of what he actually said. "Technoblade... Code... T... E...CHNO...?" Dream let out another wheeze, this one softer than his previous. "You'll get your code soon... when it's time for fieldwork, I'll take you to meet the others... I'm sure they'll love you." I sigh, I wasn't one hundred percent sure whether or not this Dream person was to be trusted, but it's better than staring into the void, slowly driving myself insane..... Yeah, maybe company wouldn't be too bad.
