Techno sighed, perched high on top of his griffins back. The creatures soft black feathers and grey fur flowing gently in the breeze. Technoblade looked down at the clear blue water, spotting tiny colourful fish swimming along in schools. The floating island he was taking a breather on was one of many others, a huge collection of land that seemed to reject gravity, only being held down by vines that attached themselves to the coral flooring of the reef.

He loved times like these, just sitting there with his closest friend, admiring the beautiful scenery. No matter how many times Techno does this, the view never seizes to amaze him. He wouldn't miss an opportunity to escape it all, to savour the few extra minutes before being pulled back into the war. Humans verses Elves, destruction versus creation, artificial versus natural. He had to admit, he liked the thrill of a good fight, but when the fighting goes on without an end in sight, it becomes tiring. Especially when the expectations placed on you were higher than the heavens.

Techno huffed, quickly double checking his griffin's, who was named Comet's armour. The extra padding he had requested was slightly worn, yet broken in and comfortable for Comet to wear. Quite the opposite to his own set of armour, stuck to his skin, rubbing against his neck until it turned red and raw. He was sick of it. But he didn't have much of a choice if he wanted this war to end.

Doing one last check, Techno mounted his griffin, quickly flying off to the battle zone, where human airships were firing bullets and missiles at the attacking creatures. His kind fighting for their rightful land on the backs of the animals they work so hard to protect, it almost brought tears to his eyes to see them fall to the oceans below. Being further from land, the waters were deeper and darker than the reefs, almost like it was promising no return.

Techno growled as he watched another one of his people fall, the wyvern they were riding screeching in pain as it's damaged wing flapped hopelessly. He quickly rushed forward, scooping the wounded creature up and flying it away from the battle, narrowly avoiding stray bullets on the way. Techno placed the wyvern next to all the other injured animals and elves, the elves taking care of the animals as best as they could in their condition. Techno nodded respectfully at their medic, Philza, who returned the gesture with a soft smile.

Once Techno made sure the wyvern was ok, he flew back off towards where the war raged on. He immediately fell into pace, jumping an unsuspecting ship from below, ripping the flooring out from under the humans, who jumped to hold the roofing. Techno rolled his eyes, leaping in to the ship and stabbing the humans inside until none were left alive. He climbed from the top hatch, taking a running jump before landing securely on Comet's back, the griffin greeting him with a happy chirp.

Techno made quick work of the front row of human ships, gaining the attention of one of the larger warcrafts. Techno was far too distracted to notice the hatch open on said warcraft, a figure in a green hood jumping up on the roof, their attention focused fully on the pink haired man, who continued taking out the second row.

With a simple leap, the stranger landed on the back of a forest dragon, kicking the elf who was riding it into the ocean below. He grabbed the reins, steering the dragon in the direction of Techno, who had taken notice of the large creature heading for him.

Techno growled at the sight of the stranger, whistling for Comet to fly faster. He swerved passed airships, lowering himself so he was only a meter above the ocean, he flipped them around. Techno reached a hand to the fallen elf, pulling them onto Comet's back as he flipped them the right way around. "Tommy," Techno started, "what did I tell you about dropping your guard!" He scolded the blond teen, who shrugged his shoulders hesitantly, shivering as the strong breeze stuck his soaking clothes to his chest. "It doesn't matter now, I'll get you to Wilbur, he'll give you a ride on Mars," Techno finished, referring to a large earth dragon that worked as the tank. "alright alright," Tommy fussed, staring worryingly at the forest dragon following behind them. "ah, Techno... we're being followed by a human on Mist..." Techno glanced back, making a sharp right before flying directly up towards Wilbur and Mars. "I'll deal with it once I get you to Wilbur," as Techno said that, he was already hovering above the large earth dragon, helping Tommy hop down from Comet.

"Thanks Tech!" Wilbur shouts at him as Techno takes off once again, glancing behind him at the still following human. 'What's this guys deal...' Techno thought to himself, quickly diving down to let Comet rest her wings and pick up speed. He glanced back, seeing Mist and the stranger now directly behind him. Techno scowled deeply, pulling a sharp left and looping around so now it was him behind the human. He heard Mist let out a low rumble of happiness to see him, since Techno was one of the main caretakers of the creatures. He petted Comet's head comfortingly, slowly standing on top of the griffins feathered back, a trick the two had performed many times before. Techno took a single step back before charging, landing perfectly on the forest dragons back, who purred at his presence.

"So you're a big shot, huh?" The stranger spoke with a foreign accent, slowly rising to a stand on the dragons back, turning to Techno. With wide eyes, Techno let out a soft, low pitched whistle, telling Mist to fly herself rather than listening to a rider. "You could say that," Techno replied with a sly smile, his ears twitching with anticipation. The stranger laughed, though it sounded more like a boiled tea kettle, "you're an interesting character, my names Dream, yours?" the stranger now identified as Dream sticks his hand out in a casual greeting like manner. Techno narrowed his eyes, staring cautiously at his outstretched hand. Dream seemed to notice his hesitance, "it's just a hand, I wont bite, unless your into that sort of thing," Techno simply stared at the man in front of him with a blank, unimpressed expression. "Yeah, you say that like you aren't here to cull my entire race..." Dream reels back, cringing at Techno's harsh words, "oh.." he dumbly replies.

Techno rolls his eyes, pulling his trusty sword from it's sheath and aiming it at the human in a challenging manner, "I'm Technoblade, Techno for short." "You want a fight that badly?" Dream questioned, a hint of amusement in his voice, as if he already knew the outcome before the fight had started. "Your mighty confident there, so sure you can best me in a melee battle?" Techno mocked, the confidence in his tone shocking Dream, who itched for a good fight.

Techno watched as Dream pulled an axe from his back with a smirk on his face. Techno could feel the weight of the shield on his back, though he thought against pulling it out now, the heavy wood of the shield would restrict his movements, and he preferred to hit hard and fast, leaving his enemy unable to land an attack. He'd force them on the defensive.

"You know... You could make this a lot easier on the both of us if you just come along without a fight," Dream suggested, swinging his axe around haphazardly. Techno raised an eyebrow in confusion, "go with you? what do you mean..." Dream's grin seemed to widen. "The whole reason this war started was so we could find some warriors to fight along side us," the strange feeling in Techno's chest seemed to bubble and fizz as his mouth hung open in shock. "You seem to have decent ability, so if you came with us, depending on your skill level, we might not need to come back," Dream's grin softened into a smile at the hopeful look in Techno's eyes. "Fine, how do you gauge skill..." Techno slowly put his sword back in it's sheath as Dream smiled. "You'll have a series of duels against our best fighters, if you can get to the last three, we deem you worthy, if you get to the last two, you're above average, if you get to the last one, we wont need to come back," Techno nodded to himself in thought, "and if I beat all of them?" he asked, making Dream wheeze. "trust me, you wont," Dream responded with a wicked grin, a dangerous glint in his eyes that made Techno shiver. Something about this human was off and Techno would find out what.
