The three groups eventually exited out of the hallways and met up with each other.
"Guys!" Jaune exclaimed.
"Glad to see everyone's okay," Sabin said.
"Have any of you had a run in with any of the Gods of the Warring Triad?" Celes asked.
"Yes," Jaune and Terra said in unison.
"So I'm guessing the Warring Triad is now destroyed?" Shadow asked.
"Yep," Relm said.
"Sure have, kupo," Mog said.
"But the power of magic isn't fading like it should be," Celes said.
"Could Kefka have extracted the very source of magic from them?" Edgar asked.
"It is most likely," Strago replied.
"Then we must press on and destroy him once and for all," Cyan said.
The Returners traveled up the stairs and eventually they approached up to a couple of large metal double doors.
"Well... this is it," Locke said.
"If there's anything you all have to say... now is a good time to say it," Edgar said.
A moment of silence had passed before Jaune finally spoke.
"There's so much for me to say to you all... I'm not even sure where to begin."
"Well what is it?" Strago asked.
"Ever since I was disowned, I've had nothing left, until I met all of you," Jaune said. "Locke, you are a very noble friend who always looked out for others. Edgar, Sabin, you two were always there when I needed help. Celes, you were one of the two people that helped me learn to fight for myself and others. Gau, you're like the little brother I never had. Cyan, you're one of the noble and bravest people I ever met. Strago, Relm, you two are like relatives I never had. Shadow, you and Interceptor always showed loyalty to me and everyone else, even if you weren't paid. Setzer, you always make the right bets to give for us. Mog, Umaro, Gogo, even though we haven't known each other much, I still see you as good friends."
Everyone felt touched by Jaune's words. Terra waited to hear what he had to say about her.
"And Terra... I... I..." Jaune hesitated. "I'm glad you're there for me for almost every step of the way."
Terra gave a warm smile at Jaune but felt like he wanted to say something else instead.
"Thou art too kind, Sir Jaune," Cyan said.
"Gau... Jaune... brothers!" Gau exclaimed as he ran up and hugged Jaune.
"Thanks, Jaune. That really meant a lot to us," Sabin said.
"Yeah, you pretty much spoke for all of us," Locke said.
"And we can all agree that you were also the best thing that ever happened to all of us," Edgar said.
"Thanks. You're all the best," Jaune said with a tear rolling down his cheek.
Everyone turned to the double doors and gave out determined looks.
"In case any of us don't make it out alive... it's been an honor serving with you all," Shadow said.
Sabin and Umaro push the double doors open as everyone walks through the doors. They saw that they were outside on the top of the tower as the floor had giant stalagmites sticking out. Suddenly a cackle broke out as everyone already knew who it was.
