After Jaune's transcripts had gotten exposed, He was bullied by everyone at Beacon Academy and disowned by his father. After he runs away from Beacon, he gets transported to a world of fantasy and magic, where his life will change.
After Jaune, Sabin, Cyan, and Gau went on to a ship, they traveled from Nikeah to South Figaro. When they arrived, they traveled for days until they arrived in Narshe. The group searches for Edgar and the others until a guard walks up to them.
"Are you Sabin Rene Figaro?" the guard asked.
"Yes," Sabin answered.
"Your brother is expecting you. Follow me," the guard said.
Sabin, Jaune, Gau, and Cyan follow the guard to a house. The guard opens the door as Sabin, Jaune, Gau, and Cyan enter inside.
"Edgar!" Sabin called.
They walk into the living room and see Edgar, Banon, Terra, and a few other people.
"Sabin! Jaune! You're all right!" Edgar exclaimed as he approached his brother and Jaune.
Edgar looks at Cyan and Gau. "Who have you brought along?"
"I am Cyan, a warrior of the kingdom of Doma," Cyan introduced.
"Uwao... Gau!" Gau introduced.
"The Empire killed everyone in Doma, down to the last child," Sabin said.
"Kefka... poisoned them," Cyan said.
"Cyan may be the only person from Doma left alive," Jaune added.
"Barbaric!" the city elder exclaimed.
"Elder!" Bannon said.
"But.. that was because Doma was collaborating with the Returners. As long as we remain neutral, we have nothing to fear from the Empire," the elder said.
"Think again!" a voice called as the sound of a door open and closes.
Coming into the living room is Locke and a young woman. The woman has long blonde hair and blue eyes. wears a low-cut green leotard with a belt around her waist, armored shoulderpads connected to a white cape, and blue boots and wrist bangles.

"Locke!" Terra and Jaune exclaimed.
"The Empire's poised to attack Narshe as we speak!" Locke said.
"What?!" Edgar asked as everyone was shocked with the news.
"Locke, where did you manage to get your hands on information like that?" Banon asked.
"Celes here was one of the Empire's gener-" Locke tries to explain until Cyan cuts him off.
"So it is her! I thought she looked familiar," Cyan said, glaring at the woman known as Celes. "Sir Gau, step aside!"
Cyan shoves Gau aside and approaches Celes with his katana drawn.
"The infamous General Celes Chere. The woman single-handedly responsible for the decimation of Maranda," Cyan growled. "Stand and meet thy judgment, Imperial b..."
