CHAPTER SIX

TOBY

Toby was still with Emma at six o' clock. He just stared at her. And talked to her, to make both of them comfortable.

-So, you knew Ali huh? He started.

-Must have been heartbroken when you heard the news. I wasn't that close to her, so I didn't really knew her that well. He lied. He wanted to forget the moments he had with Ali, but he couldn't. So he decided to say that he did not know her very good.

-Who am I kidding... I knew Ali, I always did. He said regretting the fact he's trying to forget her.

He then grabbed her hand and held it in his hands. All of a sudden, he felt something in her hand. It was a piece of paper.

"Careful....Careful....Careful. I see everything!
-A"

Toby looked up, feeling his hand shaking. He looked down at Emma, who was slowly breathing with the help of a tube. All of a sudden, her eyes started opening....

-Haaaaah..... She whispered slowly, not knowing what she was saying.

-Doctor! Doctor!! Wren! She woke up! Toby started shouting, looking for a doctor to help. But when Wren came, Emma's eyes were closed.

-She just opened them! I saw it! He tried to convince the doctor.

-I believe you. That's normal. It means that she is ready. I will check on her and if we have positive results, there is a good chance that she will wake up again. He explained and smiled.

-Now, I have to take her to a different room and you sir will have to leave. He continued.

Toby nodded and left the hospital. A lot of things were now going through his mind. He kept the paper in his pocket. As he came out of the building, he called Spencer.

-Hey Tobs! Is everything okay? He heard her raspy voice.

-There is good news! I caught her opening her eyes and the doctor is now checking if everything is fine. If it is, good chance that she will wake up soon. He explained to his girlfriend.

-Really? That's amazing! I'm going to call the girls! Spencer said relieved.

-But there is something else... When I grabbed her hand, I found a paper which said "Careful...Careful....Careful. I see everything. -A" ... What does this mean? Toby asked her.

-I don't know... Where did you find this? She asked.

-She was holding it. He said.

-Do you have it? Spencer asked.

-Yeah. But I had to leave, so now I'm outside. He answered.

-Do you have time to come? She asked.

-Yes. I'll be there in a few minutes, okay? He replied.

-Okay. She answered and hung up.

Toby put his phone in the pocket of his blue jeans and drove to Spencer's after ge started his yellow trunk.

When he arrived, he knocked on the door and saw Spencer's shadow walking towards it.

-Hey Tobs! Come in! She said welcoming him.

-Hey! He answered pulling her into a hug.

-So, how was she? She asked immediately.

-Tubes everywhere. He answered, sitting on the white couch in the living room. Spencer sat next to him.

-But you said that she opened her eyes. Spencer continued.

-Yes. That's good. But they are trying some tests on her and if there are positive results, she can wake up. If not..... He explained to her. Spencer looked down.

-She's going to be okay. I promise. I'll go again tomorrow and check on her. Toby said hugging her again.

-It's just... She knew Ali, and we didn't even know her. She had so many things to tell us. Spencer replied.

-I know... Toby answered.

That was chapter six! I don't know if you noticed, but this chapter is about Toby and not Emily. The reason why I did this is because Emily is so close with Emma since day 1. This means something you will find out in the next chapters!
