Her POV
Waking up on that monday morning felt like waking up from a dream right before you get to the good part.
Despite everything that had happened over the past 2 weeks I'd actually had one of the best times of my life just being able to live with Parker, Harry and Mitch. I felt like a normal person again.
But, every good thing must come to an end unfortunately...
How ironic of you Scout
I shook off the thought that began to creep into my head and got up. Hauling my ass to the shower to get ready, I couldn't help but look in the mirror and run my fingers over where the bruises once were. He really did a number on me, but I was grateful that they had healed up before I went back to work as I knew that would be the office gossip and I really did not need that. Annie was sort of aware of the situation but I didn't go into any more detail than I had to.
I turned on the shower and hopped in, knowing I'll never tire of Harry's rain shower that hovered above me. I washed my hair and my body and then had a quick shave, I hated shaving but once I'd done it I could never stop feeling how smooth my legs were.
Once I hopped out I dried my hair and straitened it and allowed it to flow loosely past my shoulders, I then grabbed a pearl hair clip and used it to permanently keep my hair out of my face for the day. Then I put on my makeup and my lashes as majority of my indivduals had fallen out, I must remember to get them done again.
It was then outfit time, my work was smart casual so I could get away with wearing a pair of black trousers a shirt and then a sweater vest over the top. I put on a pair of black flats and a pearl necklace to match the clip in my hair. I then grabbed my bag and made my way into the kitchen.
"Morning." Harry chirped as he ate his toast.
It was 7:45, I did not expect to see him down here this early.
"You're an early bird." I replied, flashing him a smile as I set my sights on the coffee machine that was just finishing a brew.
"Catching the worm and all that." He responded.
"Coffee?" I asked him and he nodded.
"Black please." He replied.
I did as he asked and placed the cup down in front of him, the smell of coffee in the morning was one of my favourites. There was just something so comforting about it.
Pouring myself a cup I grabbed some coconut milk out of the fridge, it was just so much nicer than normal milk but I couldn't explain why.
"How are you feeling about going back to work then?" Harry asked me as he watched me wonder around his kitchen that I'd become very comfortable in over the last 2 weeks.
"Okay actually, it will be nice to have a bit of routine in my life again, as much as I love Parker and how spontaneous he is." I explained, drinking my coffee and cleaning the spoon I had used, I then grabbed Harry's plate as he finished his breakfast and washed that up as well.
"Thanks mum." He spoke, I smiled, remembering my comment to Parker the other day. I think he was more like me than I cared to admit.
It was difficult being alone in this world, but in the most opposite ways possible, we were the same.
That might not make sense to you yet, but in time it will. When it does, I'll break every heart that has ever cared for me. It made me feel sick to my stomach.
I had no one to blame but myself.
"I need to get going, have a good day." I told Harry as I ordered my uber and drank some more of my coffee in its takeaway mug.
