Reader POV (May 16th)
The House Hearthorne was thrown into excitement as the sun dawned.
"I'm so happy to see my daughter getting married today!" Mother beamed proudly.
I looked at myself in the mirror and sighed with satisfaction. "Mother, do you think I am making the right choice?"
"Of course, darling. You're marrying Prince Rintarou. You'll be a queen by the end of the day."
My mother's pale hands touched my bare shoulders with affection. "And you'll be wearing the mark of your husband before dinner."
She had the talk with me last night, prepping me mentally about the wedding night.
Rintarou would be taking my innocence in more than one way, as it was his right.
"Since he is a vampire, he will be biting down on your neck. Trust me, it won't hurt. If anything, it's rather pleasant," Mother had told me.
I got into the carriage with my veil covering my face, the royal guard protecting us.
"Ano...Mother? Do you think I'm making the right choice?" I asked her.
