It had been a week since Eren had joined the Scouts, more specifically the 'Levi Squad.'
That said week was full of excessive cleaning and experiments with Hange. There were numerous things he had learned about humanity's strongest soldier, like how he was an extreme clean freak or how he was shorter than he'd expected...but that one was an observation he had kept to himself, for his own sake, that is.
He was currently cleaning the stables with Eld, while others were cleaning other places. Even though it had only been a week, he felt happy with the squad he was a part of. They welcomed him without hesitation, trusting the decisions taken by their Captain. The only worry he had was his friends. He still didn't know which Regiment they would choose, and all he wanted was them to be safe and see Mikasa and Armin again. He had missed his best friends dearly.
"Eld, Eren!" both the said persons' heads perked up, hearing their names.
They turned around to find Petra running towards them.
"Heichou Levi has asked us to meet him in front of the castle for an announcement. Now come on, let's not keep him waiting." she spoke while panting. She had come from cleaning the roofs when Oluo told her about Heichou's request. She wasted no time running to inform her other team members since she was sure Oluo had forgotten about the rest except her. She first went to find Gunther, who was tasked with cleaning the windows, then she went to find Eld and Eren.
She took hold of both their hands and began pulling them while running towards the castle's front.
"Wha-what's the announcement? I'm not sure Captain Levi would be happy with us leaving without finishing the cleaning first." Eren spoke up while following Petra's lead.
"Well, Oluo said that Heichou had told him to call for everyone and meet him in the front for an announcement he had to make, so I'm sure the cleaning could wait." Petra responded with one of her signature smiles.
As they reached the front, they not only noticed Levi and Oluo; but also Hange with her squad, as well as the Commander himself. Once they joined next to Oluo, Eren looked around, wondering why they were all called here.
"Captain, what's the announcement you had to make?" Gunther asked.
"Apparently, the other Captain mentioned in Eren's trial will be joining all of us for the next expedition, staying to aid us with the retake of Wall Maria." he responded with his usual monotonous voice.
He himself was curious about his supposed 'equal,' thought keeping those thoughts in check with his blank face. What got him even more curious was that the said Captain hid her face with her hood and mask. He would be lying if he said he didn't want to see what she looked like or how strong she was.
