I scraped at the finish on my desk revealing the wood underneath as my knee jumped up and down the nerves getting me as Ashley, and I waited for the news. We had spent our entire senior year in a call of duty tournament to join a pro team, the lone wolves, these next few minutes would decide if our lives would change for the better and we would get to do what we loved for a living. I looked over at Ashley "think we got it?" "I really hope" we watched as the lone wolf's logo popped on screen and flew away revealing the owners of the pro team, Ashton and Carter, "were here to announce the next members of the Lone Wolves!" my heart was beating through my chest as they announced the names, "we would like to welcome... Casey and Ashley to the Lone Wolves! I stared in shock at the screen each little pixel froze and burned itself into my mind. I looked to my right also just staring at the screen, I grabbed her shoulders and shook her "we did it!" we both ran into the living room both our parents there to hug both of us. "so, what does this mean? My dad asked a slight worried look to over her face "I... I... I really don't know, but I do know that Ashley and I have jobs!". We celebrated by going to a local restaurant to have dinner, we had just gotten our dinner when Ashley and I both received texts from Ashton asking if we could get on a call with him about plans, we both ran through the rain into our car and entered the call, my hands shaking as I tried to press the answer button "hey guys how are you feeling after winning?" Ashton's voice sounded different from when I heard it on streams and YouTube "great!" Ash and I both answered at the same time, he chuckled a bit as we did, "well I know your probably out celebrating but I wanted to check in and tell you that we have secured a house for you guys to live in down here in LA, what do you guys think?" both ash and I looked at each other eyes wide.

Thoughts raced through my head as Ashton said those words, would our parents allow us to move thousands of miles to LA? Are Casey and I even ready for this, but my thoughts were interrupted by Casey replying, "that sounds amazing!" the excitement basically oozing from his body? "well, I can book tickets for this weekend if that works?" three days, three days to collect our lives and move to a whole new state to lead all new lives, "let's do that" I blurted out the thoughts fading away as the conversation continued "ok well you guys have fun celebrating and I'm happy to have you two on the team and I'll see you soon" click as he hung up felt like it echoed through the car, the rain droplets the only thing interrupting the silence. "We just set our lives up" Casey looked at me, "we should probably go back inside, and tell them what's happening" he nodded, and we ran through the rain back inside to our parents looking at us "well what did he want?" Casey and I looked at each other and smiled, Casey spoke up first "he asked us to move to LA" the looked at us with a unanimous shocked face "what did you say?" "we said yes" I bit my bottom lip as the words left my mouth "when do you leave?" "Saturday morning".

The next few days flew by being filled with packing and preparing for our move. Until the day came, I got up and turned off my alarm and rubbed my eyes and prepared to go pickup ash. Once we arrived at her house, she was already standing outside a couple bags beside her, we packed up her stuff and started our drive to the airport after we got our bags checked our parents gave us hugs and kisses telling us how much they will miss us, and we got on the plane. This was the first time either of us had been in first class, we both watched the Wolves play against the Gladiators until we arrived at LAX the heat burst at us as we exited the plane, grabbed our bags and walked to the exit, a guy in a tux holding up two pieces of paper with our names on them walked towards us and lead us to a big long limo filled with neon lights and drinks we got in and started our trip to our new home. A note was left on the seat next to two shot glasses it read take some time and relish the moment, we both filled our glasses and took a shot of the golden-brown liquid and basically gagged at the bitter taste. We both watched as the houses got bigger the farther, we went. Soon we stopped the big white and glass house towered over us.
