She will not understand.

My alarm went off early in the morning before the sun even peaked over the horizon, I walked down stairs to a room I hadn't gone into more than once just to see what was there, I opened the door, it slid open easily due to the lack of use, the smell burst through the door and into my face, the smell of new, the smell of a factory, I walked around looking at each piece of workout equipment naming it from memory before deciding on one.

It had been about a hour and half as my arms would uncontrollably shake as I walked up the stairs, the sweat dripping down my arms as I got into the shower the hot water hitting my hot body made me uncomfortable, I got out of the shower and looked at myself in the mirror, having to wipe away the condensation over and over, the sorry excuse for a 22 year old body made me angry, I took a deep breath trying to calm down and walked away to get dressed.

I walked down the long hallway to ash's room and knocked on the door, all I could hear was a set of tired footsteps slowly stride towards the door, she opened the door her static hair sticking the door, "what?" her voice went along with her tired expression, "I'm going to pick up my mom from the airport, want to come?" she looked at me and started laughing and walked away closing the door as she did so, "do I want to-" her sentence was cut off by a wheeze and a squeaking noise of her getting back into bed, I walked outside the fresh breeze made me smile a bit as I looked over my surroundings, I started the engine, I felt like I was gliding down the street as I drove off.

I parked and sat back waiting for my mom to show up, I felt my lazy eyes slowly collapse against each other as I became more relaxed, my dream was relaxing, the feeling of laying in my bed and everything going right was intoxicating but was short lived as multiple quick knocks shook me awake, I creaked my tired eyes open and saw my mom waving excitedly at me, I got out and hugged her, "what a car!" the her eyes seemed to gleam as she look over the sports car, I took her bag as she asked me questions about which engine I had and if I was taking good care of the wheels, my mom's obsession with anything to do with a engine took over like a virus, I got her into the passenger seat and started driving away, "were going to need to get gas on the way" "oh that's fine, so how's life?" "it's pretty great" I drove on as the questions kept coming and the answers reverberating back at her.

I pulled up to the gas station and started pumping, went into the small store attached to it and grabbed some candy and a energy drink for me, as I got back into the car I was again bombarded with multiple questions like why I paid so much for gas and if I knew how bad those drinks were for me, I completely ignored them and drove home, as I parked my mom sat there in awe as she stared up at the beautiful building I called home, as I gave her a quick tour she was the most quiet she had ever been, as we walked past ash's room, my mom stopped and walked in, "Ashley!" she called, her voice echoing against the walls, ash peaked her head around the corner from where her little office was, "Mrs. holt!" they both ran over to each other and hugged, I sat down in a beanbag on the floor and ate some of the candy I had gotten at the gas station, ash explained what streaming was and that around 13,000 people were watching her, "so I'm going to be on tv!?" ash looked at me with a face I knew way to well, "sure your going to be on tv" my mom squealed with glee and got in front of the camera, "hello world!" ash sat her down in a chair, "can I get some pogs in the chat for Casey's mom?" I laughed as I watched the chat blow up with different emojis and pogs being spammed, I tried to redirect my mom away from the desk but couldn't "don't try and pull me away from my fame!" I sighed and sat back down. After about 20 mins she finally gave up her spot at the desk and I brought her up to the balcony to look at the amazing view we had of the ocean, "so this is your new life huh?" she didn't take her eyes off the water and the waves, "pretty much" I hugged her, the familiar feeling overwhelmed me.
