"So, I was thinking we could just binge watch Harry Potter while emptying this pricey bottle Pinot." Rosie announces once she enters my apartment. I nod, taking her bag and coat. "And we could order Italian from Patsy's." There's a goofy smile on her lips as she holds up both the bottle of Pinot Noir and Patsy's take out menu. Her hair is in pigtails, she's wearing her favorite flared denims and a white crop-top.
By the look of her outfit, she has absolutely zero plans to go out.
"That sounds great." I nod along. I open the coat closet and place her things inside. When I turn back around Rosie is already staring at me with a curious look in her eyes.
"What is it?"
"What do you mean?" I question. Acting clueless.
"You took my coat and actually hung it up in your coat closet—which you never do. Plus you bribed me with cheesecake to come over." Rosie concludes. I watch her as she places the bottle of wine on the counter along with the menu.
"You figure I'm up to something because I bribe you with cheesecake?"
Rosie shrugs. "Call it intuition."
I sigh and give in. "Fine. Lisa asked me to go out with her and our friends tonight and I told her yes. I might've added your name to the mix."
"Might have?" She repeats.
"Okay. I definitely added your name to the mix but you were wrong about one thing, I do want your company." I finish with a smile, hoping it'll ease my little white lie.
Rosie groans and dramatically falls into the loveseat in my living room. "I was really looking forward to a Harry Potter marathon," she sighs.
"How many times have you watched those movies?"
She ignores my question and glares at me. "Where exactly are we going? I'm pretty sure what I'm wearing isn't appropriate considering who your friends are."
Till this day, I never bothered to introduce Rosie to my other friends. While they knew nothing of her, she knew all about them.
"They're not that bad." I chuckle. "Also, don't worry I have something for you to wear."
"If you have something for me to wear that means you've been sitting on this information for a while." Rosie side eyes me. I know she isn't serious. I know if she was home and I asked her to go out with me, she'd make her way over because that's just the type of friend she is.
"If you really don't want to go, I'll make up something." I tell her and let out a small sigh.
"Sure." She rolls her eyes and lifts herself up from the loveseat. "If I'm being forced to go out that means your buying me drinks all night."
"I can do that."
"And you have to go on a date with Zero."
My eyes grow wide and I stare at her back as it disappears off into my bedroom. "What do you mean I have to go on a date with Zero? Zero as in your pothead neighbor that hits on anything with legs?"
"Yeah." Rosie turns around and wears a fake pout. "He's been begging me nonstop to get him a date with you. I said I would."
I narrow my eyes. "You didn't."
"I didn't." She squints her eyes, playfully. "But I should."

I didn't go clubbing often. It was an occasion that happened once in a blue moon.
I've been invited out multiple times and usually I'd blame it on my busy work schedule when I want to decline. Seulgi thinks it's because I'm repetitiously boring. If I was anyone else, I would probably be offended by her claim but instead I only find myself laughing and agreeing with her.
