Ch 1: First day Back

Marinettes POV

Two days after the attack

Today is the first day back at school for my school after the break and I am late once again.

I woke this morning to Tikki yelling and pulling on my ear trying to get me to get out of bed.

I wasn't as late as I have been in the past but I still found myself think about this as I am running across the street towards College Francois Dupont.

Me and Alya decided to wear the same outfits that we had planned on wearing to our thanksgiving dinner but since it got interrupted by an akuma we decided to wear them today.

I burst through the doors of the classroom and hurry to my seat expecting Chloe to make a snarky remark before I remember that Chloe is being nice to me now.

'Ugg that tastes weird only thinking about it.' I take my seat next to Alya pulling out my ipad and apple pen and get caught up on the notes.

By the time lunch roles around my stomach is screaming at me to get something to eat.

A loud gurgle sounds from the pit of my stomach grabbing the attention of everyone around me which luckily was only Adrien Alya and Nino.

"Sounds like I'm not the only one who's hungry." Said Nino as the rest of them giggled at my embarrassment.

"Do you guys want to come over to my house? My parents just texted me to bring you guys to help finish thanksgiving leftovers."

"Sound good to me." Said Alya

"Sure" Nino swung his arm over his girl friend. We all looked to Adrien.

"I'll come, just don't tell my father." We all laughed then made our way to my parents house.

As we got into the Bakery using my key, we made our way to the upstairs kitchen where we were enveloped in a scent of none other then thanksgiving dinner, fresh out of the oven. Or more likely the microwave.

"Wow it smells so good." Adrien walked in first followed by Alya Nino and Marinette. a small piece of paper was on the counter.

"Eat as much as you can we had a lot of leftovers from thanksgiving so eat up. Love Mom." Read Alya out loud.

"Well the plates are in that cupboard sliver ware in that drawer and cups in that cupboard. I'm gonna grab drinks, what do you guys want?" I asked as they started pulling out the dishes.

"Umm, what do you have?" Asked Nino

"Well we have a few bottles or sparkling cider left over from Thanksgiving that we could have."

"Sounds great." Adrien had started to dish up and so had Nino so, me and Alya went and grabbed two bottles of cider and put one in the fridge and the other one on the counter.

We started eating all of the amazing food setting an alarm for 10 minutes before school started again otherwise we would be there all day.

"Oh, Marinette," Asked Nino with a mouth full of food. "What are you planing on doing for the competition?" I gave him a weird look obviously not understanding what he was talking about.

"What competition?"

"Oh sorry Mari, I forgot to tell you. Mr. Agreste is hosting a gala and is giving out four tickets to who ever can create the best red carpet dress."

"WHAT!  And you didn't think to tell me this earlier!?" I immediately ran for my backpack to grab my sketch book and began flipping through the pages trying to find the perfect dress.

I was so focused I almost missed my alarm going off for us to clean up and head back to school.

We hurried to put the rest of the food away and ran back to the school, my head still in my sketch book. 

But the minute I step inside the classroom Lila comes in playing the victim after being akumatized.

"The only reason I was akumatized in the first place was because Marinette has been bullying me for months now." My eyes were huge.

'What? How could she say that? she was the one who attacked me in the bathroom, not me. She's the real bully.'I thought to myself. 

As soon as they realize that I was there all eyes fell on me but not all with a thick scowl some including Chloe had looks of understanding and worry on their face.

She flinched when she saw me and looked around to see everyone staring at me and gave me a sly grin but quickly changed back to her elaborate facade. She backed away from me and headed to her seat. 

"Wait! you guys actually believe her!?" Alya nearly screamed. Luckily M. Bustier wasn't back yet otherwise Alya would have been walking to the principles office right now. 

Soft mumbles of yes and of course circled the room until Kim had to open his big mouth.

"Of course we believe her! She got akumatized and was determined to destroy Marinette, what other proof do you need?"

"She has never liked Marinette. Besides Marinette would never hurt someone on purpose."

"But what about that picture that Marinette photoshopped that picture of her and Jagged Stone backstage?"

"Not cool dude, we all know that Marinette knows Jagged Stone because she's designed his Album set and even wardrobe for his concerts. Why would she need to fake a picture with him?" Nino came to her defence.

"What about that time where Marinette beat up Lila and she came to school with bruses."

"No offence Mari, but do you guys really think Marinette could do that kind of damage even if she wanted to?" Alya countered although it kind of hurt.

"Guy's please don't fight I don't want Marinette to blame me for this." Lila piped up from the back of the room.

"I wouldn't hurt you Lila. I wouldn't hurt any one physically or emotionally."

Everyone shut up right as M. Bustier walked into the room and the rest of the day went pretty uneventfully except for the glares from other students.

Besides I have other things to worry about, like the competition.

So when I got home from school I went straight to work on my gown knowing exactly what todo with it.
