Ch 2: The Perfect Dress for the Perfect Date

As soon as the bell rang I ran out of the school apologizing to Alya for making her wait by herself. I ran across the street and passed the downstairs bakery and onto my balcony so I could have a safe space to start my sketches.

My pencil flew across my sketch pad my instincts guiding the pencil. It didn't take me long to finish a design but I wasn't happy with so I crumpled the paper and started over.

I didn't notice the sun slowly disappearing behind the skyline until a crisp breeze blew through my coat.

I look up to see the sunlight disappearing over the horizon. The shades of blue mix with the sunset pink making a gorgeous purple.

'I got it!'

My pencil flew furiously across the page making every mark with absolute perfection.

"Done!" I said out loud even though no one was around.

It was a 1 inch black turtle neck with the sleeves cut off with the black fading into blue hue. A city scape was out lined in black as the blue faded to purple then to a pink. The skirt fell a little past the knees then the back grew longer till it reached her feet.

"Pair these with a pair of white ballet flats and it will be perfect."

"Marinette?" Tikki yelled from the door to the balcony "It's time for patrol with Chat Noir."

"Oh right thanks Tikki. Spots on!" I left my sketch book there promising to clean it up when I get back and ran off to the Eiffel tower.

Patrol was uneventful today other then a cat who was up in a tree hiding from someone. Me and Chat got through with patrol early so we decided to sit at the effiel tower and catch up.

He told me how he went to my house for Thanksgiving even though he never got to taste the food because of the Akuma attack.

I told him about my Thanksgiving with a few modifications.

We sat and talked until much later into the night and by the time we went home it was nearly 2 in the morning.

"Great," I said to Tikki after de-transforming. "Tikki how am I going to get to school on time tomorrow?" I asked while picking up my sketch book and all the crumpled papers.

"By getting to bed soon." Said Tikki as she pick up a few pens and took them down to my desk.

The clean up didn't take long with all the crumpled paper in the trash and my sketch book sitting on my desk I got ready for bed and quickly fell asleep.

Timeskip Next Day

Adrien's POV

I woke up to my alarm but I didn't want to get out of bed.

We had stayed out past 2am yesterday and it was not the best idea to say the least.

I pushed myself off my bed to hear Plage yawn and fly up to my face.

"Morning Adrien, now wheres the cheese ?" He said flying away from me and over to his fridge which at the moment had no cheese in it because the next order comes in today.

"ADRIEN! The cheese is GONE!" He came flying at me as I pulled my clothes out of my closest.

"Yes but there is one wheel left but that is for emergency's only." I tell him as I walk into my bathroom to change.

As I am doing my hair, Natalie walked into my room with her clipboard just like any other morning.

No emotion could be seen on her face as she read over my schedule for today.

Agreeing to it as if I had a choice to what was on my schedule or what my father wants me to do.

I reached the school right on time and got to my locker without any problems but when I reached my locker Lila was right there.

"Hi Adrien!" She said with her fake smile plastered on her face.

"Hey Lila," I said as nicely as possible. I start pulling out my books for the day when Lila grabbed my hand.

"I was wondering if maybe you would like to go with me to the gala when I get the tickets."

"Lila you have just as much of a chance getting those tickets as anyone else." She pulled me so I was facing her.

"But if I get them, will you go with me?"

She got eerily close to me and the situation was anything but comforting.

"Sorry Lila but I already have a date to the gala." I lied.

"Oh, who?" She said obviously not believing me.

I looked around hoping to see someone anyone who could get me out of this and low and behold Marinette is getting into her locker.

"Marinette." I said pulling her right next to me.

Lila's face was pure shock.

"Oh well I guess you guys will have fun." She said with poison lacing her words and dripping from her mouth.

She walked away and Marinette turned to me.

"Umm, what was that?" She asked.

"I might have used you to get out of a date with Lila." I scratched the back of my neck.

AN: Hey guys, sorry that I haven't updated in so long I've been extremely busy with homework and practice AP tests. There are going to be really slow updates for this book or at least until the end of the school year.
