Ch:6 Inspiration

Timeskip After school

Marinettes POV

School was a wreck to put it simply. I am overly frustrated with Lila to put it nicely.

Today she claimed that I shoved her down the stairs once again even though she tried that before. I wonder if she would blame it on her disease again or if the story would hold.

I had to unwillingly stop Alya from punching Kim in the face after he was following me in the halls and calling me all sorts of nasty names.

But now I can just sit on my bed and watch the clouds role by above me as I worked on my design for the gala. I created a cloud themed dress and a flower themed dress and even another city scape dress but nothing so far.

Until a certain alley cat came to pay me a visit.

"No homework today? Can I assume today went better then yesterday?" He asked sitting down on the railing.

"Yes, you may. Today was a lot better then yesterday but still not the greatest day." It made me happy knowing that he cared about me. But he looked a little closer at my fake smile and gave me a sad, knowing smile.

"Ok fine so today sucked as well." I said with an exasperated sigh. I put my sketch book down and Chat came and sat beside me on my chair outside. I leaned on his broad shoulder and let myself relax some what as he wrapped his arm around my shoulder.

"Well what have you been working on." He picked up my sketch book and started flipping through the pages. "Wow, Marinette thèse are amazing. Are these for the competition that Gabriel Agreste created?" He turned my sketch book so I could see the cloud design that I had just finished.

"Ya, but there just not good enough. I can't figure out the perfect ide- Wait!" I grabbed my sketch book from Chat Noir and began to draw violently across the paper. Mumbling little details to myself as the designs came together.

"Perfect!" I held up my book to show off my design to Chat Noir, even though it would probably just fuel his ego more.

"These are by far the best." He said admiring my work.

"Now Adrien and I will have coordinating outfits for the gala." I said setting the sketch down in my lap.

"How are you so sure you'll win?" Chat asked and I realize how self centered that sounded.

"Oh Adrien asked me to be his date to the dance. We're just going as friends." I said as I flipped the page to write down all the fabric I need and the measurements for it.

"Oh shoot. I need Adrien's measurements." I said with an exasperated sigh. Then I looked to Chat and he seemed the same size as Adrien so maybe that would work. "Could I possibly measure you Chat?" I said smiling sheepishly.

"Sure, anything to help a princess in need." He said with his classic smirk.

"Ok let me get my measuring tape and I'll be right back." I ducked through the trapdoor. Tikki was sitting on my desk with it her hands. I mouthed a 'thank you' then rushed back up to Chat. "Ok just stand here with your arms out." I took a while bunch of measurements and wrote them down hoping that they would match Adrien's.

"Perfect. Thank you so much Chat!" I hugged him and he hugged back.

"Do you need fabric?" He asked which caught me off guard.

"Um, ya. I was going to go tomorrow after school." I said writing down the materials and where to get them as I hear a click like a camera and I turn but there no camera so I just shrug it off and close my notebook.

"Oh shoot." I heard Chat mumble under his breath.

"What?" I looked at the time and my eyes widened.

"I'm late for patrol with Ladybug. I must be going." He looked almost sad that he had to go see Ladybug.

"That's okay Chat. Besides I should probably get to bed soon." I said with a smile hoping he'd leave so I can transform.

"Until tomorrow princess." He gently laid a kiss on my knuckles then jumped towards the Eiffel tower. I ran back into my room to find Tikki pacing back and forth in my room and when she saw me she flew right up to my face.

"Marinette your late to patrol by almost a half hour."

"I know. Tikki spots on!" Red light engulfed me and now I was Ladybug who was incredibly late as usual.

An: Guys I am so sorry that I haven't been updating I have really tried my hardest to get these chapters ready for y'all to read but I am a student and right now school is my top priority. If y'all didn't see my latest update, I said that I will begin publishing my chapters on certain dates so you know when I will post them and I wont get to far behind on posting.
