I lay on Missy's bed reading my psychology book mostly watching her mess with her baseball uniform in front of the mirror. Her innocent voice calls out to me, making me sit the open book on my lap fully sitting up. "Y/n are you sure I can do baseball, even though I'm not a boy."
I put my book on the bed getting to my feet. Picking up her baseball to toss it from hand to hand "Mis, listen to me. You don't have to be a boy to do anything. How about I give you some practice."
She spun around to me, a bright grin on her face as she hugs me picking up her glove racing outside. I'm wearing a red short sleeve tea shirt with gray shorts and black tennis shoes. My brown hair with blonde highlights is barely pulled back. We both stand far away from each other as I hold a baseball in my hands ready to pitch. I throw it towards her and she catches it in her glove, a little rusty but good. I threw another one which she caught easily, I heard the front door open and turned my head to see her older brother come out. He smiled at me and I waved back before his face went scared hollering out. "Y/n ball!"
I turned my focus back to Missy to see she'd thrown the ball and it almost clocked me in the eye but I blocked it with my mit, I death grip the ball as missy raced to me concerned. "Y/n, I'm sorry - I"
I sigh taking a breath replying. "It's fine Mis..." I trailed off before calling out to Georgie who strides over to us in a gray long sleeve tea shirt, blue jeans and brown boots. "Thanks for the heads up, Georgie." I grinned big when he smiled back causing Missy to gag lightly.
The front door opens again to see Mrs. Cooper announce. "Dinner. Y/n are you staying?" I nod my head yes knowing they said it was alright before I came over.
The Cooper's memaw came over and sat at the end of the table across from George. Sheldon sits on georgie's right and I'm on his left, missy is across from me on the other side and Mary or Mrs. Cooper as I call her most of the time sits on Missy's right. Their mom started the prayer after sheldon put on his gloves, I held Georgie's hand a little longer once we ended it to where missy started doing a heart sign with her hands at us. Georgie gave her an angry glare as I blushed lightly pulling my hand out of his to pick up my fork and started eating my steak.
Georgie snipes at his sister. ''Cut it out Missy. We're not dating!" Missy grinned not caring. "Awe come on, why wouldn't you. Y/n's pretty, smart, fun and she can play sports as good as a boy can...maybe even better."
Their dad piped in, changing the subject. "How about football?" I glanced his way, shaking my head chuckling. "I don't think so mr. Cooper. That's his job" I playfully nudged Georgie who blushed a bit.
Missy started squealing. "He's blushing!" Sheldon sets his fork down asking nicely because he's getting annoyed by his twin. "Mom, can I go play with my trains?" His mom nods her head poking Missy to stop the teasing. "Missy that's enough-"
Her mom cuts her off suggesting. "How about you and George got out to the bar tonight, I'll watch the kids." George smiled at Mary thinking it's a good idea. Mary looks to her mom then to me and Georgie who wraps an arm over my shoulder pulling me closer to him, making me blush lightly while he smirks.
Mrs. Cooper glared at him before sighing. "Alright fine. But y/n you and my mom are in charge around here." Missy punches a fist in the air and Georgie looks to me out of the corner of his eye. He playfully winked and I pinched his leg making him jump earning a chuckle from me, Missy and their memaw. So the boring parents left and we were allowed to do whatever we wanted.
Missy put on cool sunglasses and turned on the radio in her room jumping around and rocking on her guitar singing through the house. I wore sunglasses too, singing with her jumping around the twins room until I heard a knock on the door. I spun around as Missy still kept having her own concert for her stuffed animals. My hair was a tousled mess and I titled the sunglasses down to the tip of my nose. I'd switched into some sleep clothes from my backpack from school which is a light green sweatshirt and black leggings with white tennis shoes. Georgie leans against the doorframe with a smirk, his gaze shifting from missy gaming back to me and his look stays on me. "Y/n I wanna show you something."
