Saving Bloom

Entering the castle, she shivered as all the memories flooded back to her. It was quiet...too quiet. A chamber maid ran up to her and bowed, gesturing for Bloom to follow. So she did. She went up a flight of stairs to a hallway Bloom didn't recognize. Keeping up with the lady, she stopped in front of a room, pulled a key out of her skirt and unlocked it. "Here is your room, Your Majesty" she left the key and and headed off. Staring off after her, she held a confused look until maid disappeared.

Bloom went into the room, taking the key and locking the door. She looked around and was in dismay. This room didn't have a fireplace. Instead ceiling to floor sliding doors that lead to a balcony. She wanted to curse mentally but instead went over to the doors and drew the curtains closed as it started to get darker. She changed into pajamas and crawled into the bed, yawning. She didn't feel as weak as she did when she came here the first time. Maybe it was the fact she knew near the others were a few miles from her, or they already deactivated the stars. Maybe...bc of her and Sky's baby. Her hand went over her stomach at the thought. Whatever the reason, she loved it.

She fell asleep to the thought of it, wrapped up in a wooly comforter. This had to be one of the warmest nights she'd had on Isis. Why? This puzzled her, even in her sleeping state. Late into the night, she opened and rubbed her eyes and slipped out of the bed, going to the attached bathroom. Now, that she thought about it, the castle had been a complete ghost town. Eh, she didn't care. The farther and longer she was away from Jared and his family, the more at peace she felt.

But then again...

What if they had went after her family or friends? Preposterous! They're probably on the other side of the castle, fast asleep. Or maybe plotting against her and everything she loved and fought for? Impossible. Shaking her head, she used the bathroom and washed her hands, going back to bed. Turning around after closing the door, she almost screamed. She clasped a hand over her mouth and backed up against the wall.

There, laying in the bed she was in just 5 minutes ago, was Jared, fast asleep. No wonder she wasn't shivering and freezing half to death by now. Tears slipped down her cheeks and she followed them, sliding down the wall, her eyes closed tightly as she attempted to calm herself down. Taking deep breaths, her heart would jolt at the thought of him waking up and hurting her again.

Once she calmed herself down enough, she stood up and tip toed to the bed and got back in, trying to keep some distance between her back and his chest (Lack of better words). It wasn't hard due to the size of the bed, but to her, it felt too close for comfort. It was like he's breathing down her neck, suffocating her almost. She couldn't help but yelp in surprise when she felt arms wrap around her waist and pull her  into the chest she desperately wanted to avoid. More tears pooled in her eyes and fell on the pillow. She felt shifting behind her and her heart stopped, waiting for the movement to come to a halt. It did and she could feel his breath on her shoulder. So she laid there, trapped in a giant bed with an iron grip around her waist, cold breath on her skin, and the want to be freezing right now. She'd much rather be in a freezing cold room with a window open right. It beats being here. Gosh, she felt so dirty. How could Sky still love her when he finds out they're sharing a bed? When she's getting engaged to someone else? How when she broke his heart? Shattered it even. Yet, even through all that, he still wants to be with her. Or does he? Maybe he just wanted to get her pregnant as some type of revenge? Maybe he'll just leave her with a child and he'll go off to marry some other King's daughter that would fight for him.

She laid in that bed, watching the curtains, waiting for daylight to hit them and tell her to get up and wash away all the guilt and shame she felt so deeply in her soul. An hour passed. Then two hours. Four and a half hours passed before she saw daybreak through the curtains. She got up and a wave of nausea passed through her. She ran to the bathroom and doubled over the toilet. Her heart sped up and her body stood up only to fall back down and she felt like she was falling. She couldn't scream as everything went by in a blur. All the colors you could imagine spun and whirled around her until black was the only color visible to her.
