Love Can't Be Denied

Two days passed in a slow blur for Bloom, but to others, a confusing, anxiety inducing 48 hours.

"Princess" a maid sang out, bringing a crew of others carrying makeup, clothes and other items needed to make Bloom look her best. "Are ya ready for tonight?"

"Never could be" Bloom answered. Since two days ago, it's like Bloom had made herself numb to the world. Any passion she once had, diminished so quickly it gave no one, not even her, time to adjust. The first to notice, her mom, once Bloom stopped talking back about this whole arranged marriage ordeal. Her eyes seemed faded and clouded over, like she wasn't even there anymore. Like she wasn't Bloom anymore.

"Aye, I understand. But the sooner we start, the sooner it's over" the maid perked up and day Bloom by the vanity. "Now, lets get to work"

For the next 5 hours, her makeup and hair were being done and perfected precisely. Her hair was a waist length, gorgeous, red French braid that hung over her shoulder. Soft wintery colors to match her dark blue dress with light blue undertones, along with a pair of sparkly, fingerless gloves. The final pieces being a tiara, implanted on it were the royal stones of Domino and Isis.

While her maids gawked over her beauty, Bloom sighed. Her heart in so much pain by the passing second, she wondered if she could make it though the night.

OUTSIDE THE CASTLE

A royal ship from Solaria landed near the other kingdom's who decided to attend the event. Out walked the 5 couples and lone Sky. Now, Bloom may have been forbidden to see them, but as this was a important place to be, they all were allowed in, anxious to see their doomed friend, especially Sky.

"Who are you and why are you with my girlfriend?"

"Your girlfriend is my fiancé"

"Bloom?" This replayed in his head everyday since it happened, since she ran.

An hour passed and no sight of Bloom, her family or Jared and his family. The crowd was getting anxious until a loud voice echoed out over it. "Presenting, King Oritel, Queen Mariam and Princess Daphne of Domino!" The three came from a stairway, parents in front and daughter behind, waving at those who had cane to see their daughter/sister. The crowd clapped for them and they made their way to the pair of thrones.

"Presenting.... King Leo and Queen Brianna of Isis!" The announcer read off and the second couple came out, repping Isis attire and stood at the thrones beside the rulers of the host planet.

"Presenting.... Prince Jared of Isis and Princess Bloom of Domino!"

The crowd grew silent as they descended down the stairs, getting a slow view of the two, from their shoes, to the bottom of their outfits, then the top and finally, their heads as they both adorned Isis and Domino royal jewels.

Standing in the middle of the staircase, the guests took in their appearances before erupting in cheers and clapping. Bloom's eyes scanned the room until her eyes met with a pair that took her breath away every time. Eyes the same colors as hers and held every drop of hope she'd lost, except these eyes' hope was fading quickly. She looked at the people around him and saw those she'd be deprived of and wanted nothing more than to be surrounded by them.

She felt herself being tugged, and allowed her body to go with it, her eyes never leaving the people she loved more than anything, but soon, she lost them as people moved in front to get a closer look. Turning her head, she saw the many people wanting to get pictures and such of them.

Cling cling cling

"Thank you all for coming" Oritel spoke up, grabbing everyone's attention. "As per usual, we start off with my youngest, Princess Bloom, dancing with her soon to be, Prince Jared of Isis" the guests cleared a way for them and Jared seemingly gently pulled Bloom to the middle of the circle they had made and held her waist and the same hand as she put her free hand on his shoulder.

Music from the stage started playing, counting then in for waltzing and they were off. Jared smiles down at Bloom who wore a blank face, clearing her mind as she paled, that dark feeling she had forgotten about returning, forcing her to move with Jared as he held her closer. Her body unwillingly dancing with him like he was Sky.

He pulled away from her and her feet glued themselves to the floor. She looked around as paparazzi made their way to the front of the crowd to get headline pictures. She looked back at Jared who got down on one knee and reached into his pocket, pulling out a gold and navy blue ring. Her heart stopped. Not out of surprise, she knew this day was coming.

But out of spite, out of the unsettling feeling that she really had no choice. The knowledge that her life was over...

"Princess Bloom of Domino, will you give me and our planets the honor of being my wife?" He asked, as if he actually cared about her.
She wanted to scream no, run away from him and into the arms of the person she wanted and still wants to spend the rest of her life with.

Both royal families stood up from their seats, their anticipation rising with every second. The entire room gone dead silent, waiting for her answer. She opened her mouth to speak...

"Bloom!" Everyone turned their heads to the guy who had cut her off from her answer.

"Don't do this..."

"Sky..." her voice hoarse, tears brimming on her water line.

"Guards!" Oritel called before Mariam could stop him. They grabbed Sky before he could get to Bloom.

"Marry me, Princess" Jared rephrased, grabbing her attention again. Her shoulders slumped and nodded pitifully, a tear rolled down her cheek and cameras flashed around them both. He slid the ring on her finger and hugged her tightly, letting the press take the pictures they need.

Two hours later, two hours of dancing, posing, getting well wishes from everyone except the people she wanted to hear convince her out of it. Sighing, she now stood in front of a ship, going to take her to this place that she dreaded more than anything. Looking back at her home that seemed far away now, she got on, hoping that Sky or anybody would come telling her something, anything that would stall this trip, but as the door closed, she knew that that hope was gone as well.
