A Fresh Start

Narrator: "In the second quarter of the 21st century, the advent of sub-light transportation marked the beginning of an unprecedented wave of human expansion. Human explorers discovered new planetary systems and colonized them, traveling further and further into the unknown"

Earth airship lands in the cave, and a single soldier elevates to the surface. There is a 'Wilde' written on his helmet. He looks around, only to spot a lot of alien soldiers, Crogs.

Explorer: "What?"

One Crog grabs his weapon in two hands and aims it at the human, the others soon follow his example, making the human gasp. Later a lot of Crog's ships gets near Earth's orbit

Narrator: "In 2057, Earth's most aggressive neighbors, the Crogs, launched a treacherous surprise attack" Both Earth and Crog forces starts their battle in the space, as I could be seen from the planet's surface "Completely caught off guard, the earth Coalition put up a desperate defense. Their forces held and the Crogs were narrowly defeated. Humans have since lived in peace with their neighbors. That is, until today "An egg shaped spaceship floats towards the Earth

*Place: Stern Boarding School, Adam POV*

'Here it is, the shithole I called home for far too long' I sigh before taking a deep breath and walking up the stairs.

'Yesterday was Eva's birthday. I hope she is not angry at me'

I look at my reflection on a puddle nearby. My messy black hair dancing in the wind, with my blue eyes looking deep into my soul. Wearing my mechanic gloves and typical Stern male uniform

'*sigh* Soon. Soon we will be free. Eva just need to get the last part and we're out of here'

I open the door and enter the hall before walking to my locker and put my gloves in there. Meanwhile I can hear people talking

Guy#1: "Oh. Has she been sitting here all night?"

Guy#2: "Didn't you hear? It was her birthday yesterday and her dad didn't call. Again. And Adam was gone somewhere"

Guy#1: "She has a dad? I thought she was an orphan. What's she thinking?"

I growl, knowing now they talk about Eva for sure

Guy#1: "If he never called, then he never will"

Eva: "Hey you! I'm not deaf, you know?!"

'Guess it's my time to intervene, or else Eva will beat them'

Adam: "Easy there Eva" I emerged from behind the pillar and turned to the guy, giving him a glance "I suggest you run before I break every bone in your puny body"

Guy#1: "Ah!" he and his buddy run away

Eva: "That's it, just run! Run away. I know you're just jealous! My dad is famous, the greatest race manager ever!" she then gets a sad expression on her face "He's just too busy to give me a call" she looks at the phone on the wall "Not his fault" she slumps back on the floor
