Now or never {five hargreeves}

Chapter 8

It was the crack of dawn and I heard shuffling. The sun hit my eyes as I opened them. "Good morning." I heard someone say. I look to my left to see five sitting right next to me. "Oh morning." Five had something round in his hand but i thought nothing of it because it was probably a fidget toy for his stress.

"How on earth are you wide awake?" I said rubbing my eyes. "come on we have to get going." I was really confused as five got up from the couch. "At 5am in the morning?" He grabbed my arm and dragged me to the door. "fine... fine i am awake lets go."

At Meritech Lab 

We walked out of the elevator and went to the lobby. It took quite a while for the doctor to come so we waited for a long time. I saw the prosthetics hanging and started to wonder about the thing five was holding earlier. He took it back out of he pocket. "what that your holding?" i asked as he unwrapped the cloth. "This is an eye, the clue to stopping the apocalypse." He held out the eye and i grabbed it of him. I inspected it but the doctor came in. Five nudged me telling me to put it in my blazer pocket.

"Uh, can i help you?" five turned around. "I need to know who this belongs to." I took the eye from my pocket and held it out. "Where did you get that from?" the doctor asked.

"Why do you care" Five said as I was clutching onto the eye. I slightly nudged him to be a little nicer. "I found it at a playground actually." I said giving a head start. "Uh... it must have just popped out." Five made a popping sound. I looked at five and back at the doctor. "We wanna return it to its rightful owner."  I asked nicely before i was about to loose my shit. "Oh... what thoughtful young couples." she smiled widely. My head and Fives shot towards the lady. I felt a rush of heat coming to my face. I could tell that five was blushing as he was hiding his face.

I tried to calm down and turned to the lady again. "Just look up the name for me please." Five was still blushing so i turned away from him. I swear teenage hormones are all over the place."Uh, I'm sorry, but patient records are strictly confidential. That means I can't tell you-"

"Yeah we know what that means" Five interrupted the Doctor. "we may be young but we are not dumb" I said pissed at how he is treating us. "But i'll tell you what i can do..." The doctor was stepping a little closer to me. My grip on the eye started to tighten.

"I will take the eye off your hands miss and i will return it to the owner." I stepped backwards and passed the eye to five secretly. "I'm sure he or she will be very grateful, so if i can just-" He held out his hand trying to take the eye but I showed my hand there is nothing in it.

"Yeah your not touching this eye." Five said showing it. We may look innocent but we are smart when it comes to protection. "Now you listen to me here, both of you-" I grabbed the man by the shoulders. "No! You listen to me, asshole. We've come a long way for this, through some shit your pea brain couldn't even comprehend." Five held my arm trying to calm me down. I loosed the grip on the Doctor. "So just give us the information we need, and we'll be on our merry way. And if you call us a couple again i put you head through that damn wall!" Five said stepping closer to the man. I snickered at five."Oh dear." the man was clearly about to shit his pants so i let go of him and pushed him backwards. "call security!"
