Third person
It's was a a dark night with the mood glistening in the sky. Alaya is finishing up her last shift at the convenience store. As she was locking the doors she saw a newspaper with her father's picture on it. She curiously picks it up and reads it. Her face fell as tears starts to flood her eyes. She felt a drop of tear run down her cheek.

First person
At the academy...
I walk in to see nobody. "Hello? Is anybody here?"
I turn to my side to see an ape half my size standing in the corner.
"Pogo" I looked at the ape giving him a 'he is really dead look'.

"Miss Alaya. I am glad you made it." We both walk in the a room to see a painting of Number Five hung up on the wall.
"How long has it been since he disappeared?" I look at Pogo worriedly.
"It's been 16 years, four months, and 14 days... your father insisted I keep track." We both stared at the painting of Five.

"You know... I had always left the lights on and made us favourite sandwich... I'd thing he would come back and he would think nobody was here and leave again." I stare down to my feet as memories started to flood her mind.

"You should probably go meet the others, they are upstairs." Pogo ushered me to go.

I walks into my Dad's office to hearing someone rummaging through his stuff.
"Where's the cash?"
Of course she knew who it was. "Klaus?" I eye the room to see all of my dad's paintings and files.

"Oh Alaya! Wow you really grown up. Hey come here." We both hug each other tightly.
"Too long. Hey I was hoping to see you, actually."I look at his wrist.

"Just got outa rehab?" Klaus's eyes widened.
"No, no. I am done with all that." He sighs.
"I just came down here to prove... that the old man was really gone." he says as sadness stats to fill his voice.
"And he is! He's dead. Yeah!" I look at him like he a crazy man.

Yep he is definitely high.

"You know how I know? Because if he were alive, not one of us would be allowed to set foot into this room."
I look at the painting of dad behind klaus.

"He was always in here our whole childhood...plotting his next torment." Klaus plunked himself onto his dad's spinning chair.
"Remember how he used to look at us? That scowl?" I smirk at a memory as Allison grazed her had on the table.

"Thank Christ he's not our real father so we couldn't inherit those cold, dead eyes!" Klaus mocks his father with his fingers holding his eye's open. Both me and Allison laugh at klaus mocking our father.

Luther walks in staring at us three. "Get out of his chair."
I looked at Luther concerned.
"You really filled out." Klaus says as he flexed his non-existent muscles.
"Klaus." Luther says.
"I guess imma just head out then." I walk out of the room leaving klaus, Allison and Luther together.

I walks up the stairs slowly as I rubbed my hands together.
"Alaya?!" I heard a familiar voice coming from behind me. I turns to see Diego walking towards me with his arms open.

"Diego! I am soo happy to see you!" We both hug each other tightly. "I missed you sis! How are you?" We let go of each other.

"You know... the usual serving customers then having to babysit." I fixes her Jean jacket and put my headphones that were dangling out back in my pocked.
____________
I walked back downstairs to the living room for a 'family meeting' as Luther calls it. I sat myself onto the long couch.

"Umm... I guess we should get this started." He gets up from his seat.
"So, I figured we could have a sort of memorial service in the courtyard at sundown... say a few words, just at dad's favourite spot." I stared at Luther and looks back at Allison as she stared to talk.

"Dad had a favourite spot?" Allison asks surprised.
"You know under the oak tree." Luther added on. "The only favourite spot was in being in is office."I mutter under my breath.

"Listed up. Still some important things that we need to discuss, alright?" Luther says in a leadership way.
"Like what?" Alaya asks looking back up at Luther.

"Like the way he died." Luther continued. "And here we go again" I muttered. "I don't under. I thought they said it was a heart attack." Klaus placed himself a few centimetres from Me as he gave me a cup of an alcoholic drink.

"Yeah , according to the coroner." Luther looks down to his feet and nods.
"Well wouldn't they know?" Vanya asks.
"Theoretically." He eyes everyone in the room.

"Theoretically?" Allison and I said at the same time surprised.
"I'm just saying, at the very least, something happened... the last time that I talked to dad, he sounded strange. Diego and I looked at each other in confusion and looked back at Luther.

"Oh, quelle surprise!" Klaus tries to talk as he is gargling on his beverage.
"Strange how?" I ask Luther. "He sounded on-"
"Ok Luther we get it he was acting suspicious get to the point." I interrupted him.

Luther rolled his eyes "he told me I should be careful who to trust."
Diego got up from his chair and look at Luther.

"Luther, he was a paranoid, bitter old man... who was starting to lose what was left of his marbles." Diego was walking towards Luther who was starting to get angry.

"No. He must have known something would happen." I was starting to lose my shit so I stood up from the couch. "Well he is dead now and you Luther need to understand that this is life. People come and go."

Luther ignores me as usual.
We never really had the best relationship when we were children. Five was the only person I can really trust, he was my partner in crime and my best friend.

"Look, I know you don't like to do it, but I need you to talk to dad." Luther asks klaus.
" I can't just call dad in the afterlife and be like, "dad, could you just... stop playing tennis with hitler for a moment and take a quick call?" He gets up from his slouching position.

"Since when that's your thing" Luther was starting to get much more angry.
"I am not in the right... frame of mind.."
I interrupted him again " your high?"

"Yeah! Yeah" he laughs like everything is ok.
"I mean, how are you not listening to this nonsense?" Klaus says as he points at Luther.

"Well, sober up this is important"
"Well if this is over I will just go to my room-" I say standing up.
"No! Sit back down! The there's the issue of the missing monocle." Diego looks at Luther from the corner of his eye.

"Who gives a shit about a stupid monocle?" He whispered.
"Exactly. It's worthless. So whoever took it, i think it was personal. Someone close to him.
Someone with a grudge." We all stare at Luther in confusion.

"Where are you going with this?" Klaus asks.
"Oh isn't this obvious klaus? Diego walks towards Luther with a sarcastic grin on his face.
"He thinks one of us killed Dad." Luther grunts as Diego talks.

I was starting to lose my shit so I shot up "wow Luther great way to lead your family. Blame you sibling for the death of dad." I pointed my finger at him as I walked towards him.
"Great job Luther way to lead" Diego walks out of the room and I walk out behind him.

"That's not what I am saying-" everyone else got up too and left.
"Your crazy!" Klaus says as he drank his beverage.
"I've not finished!" Luther tries to get their attention. "Sorry I'm just gonna go murderer mom. Be right back." I chuckled at klaus' statement.
