I twirled around. I woke up to the sound of birds, chirping outside my window. Wait. How am I in my bed? I was just in Stefan's doorway and now I'm home? I was calling out for him and, I cannot remember anything afterwards, completely. It's like my memory of that day after had been erased from my brain. I began to stare at my ceiling, with no explanation to that day. It was around 7 on a gloomy, typical Thursday morning; school.

Sorting myself out with the usual makeup routine, jeans and a jacket, I leave the house. I took a glance at a white large house to my right. I swear I recognised this house literally yesterday but, I can't remember. What's happening. I used to look at this house and I had some connection to it but what did I do?

"(Y/N) hey, you okay?" I raised my head to where Caroline was looking at me before I ran into with her new pink outfit. "Yeah, I'm fine Care" I said whilst faking a smile, she for well knew I was lying, yet she walked with me towards Stefan. I had to ask him if he was home. "Stefan, were you home last night?" I asked him whilst gripping onto my handbag tightly for a good response. "No, I actually wasn't. Did something happen or, what did you need." Stefan seemed to have his eyes fixed onto me. "Oh" I took a small pause to where the both of them where concerned, "Actually, it's fine! No worries, I'm gonna go to class early." I turned around and walked towards the stairs. He wasn't home at the time, so who was?
Class felt like forever. History bored me as I never paid attention, but Stefan has gotten every single question right that was in between of the 16th century and now. Damn he's smart, too smart. I had to look at him, because he is soooo handsome, but not only that I still was questioning last night. I reached into my coat pocket for my phone for the time, a text message? "Crazy party 2night!1!! Bring friendz & com." Okay but, where's the grammar?

I looked at Stefan and raised my phone to show him, he didn't seem so sure of coming but my convincing face did. A voice interrupted- "Y/N how many more times this week am I going to tell you off? Give me that phone, I will see you after class." Are you kidding. Stefan slightly giggled and I made a sarcastic face back as I came back to my seat. "Don't you try it", I mouthed to him.

The bell rang and I leaned over to Stefan, "Could you save me a seat at recess?" and he smiled. "Um sir-"

"Y/N what's with the being off track and talking to Stefan?" he asked.

"I don't know.."

"You're gonna have to figure it out then", he searched for my phone in his drawers, "Just like Elena" He softly mumbled

"Elena?" I responded, "Who is Elena?". He glanced at me with a slight sigh with a smile whilst handing me my phone. "W-"

"Elena came to this school." he butted in, "She was in my class and, that's all, well you sorta look like her. Now go before next class starts" I tried to process what he said but I just turned around and walked out the class. This Elena girl might just be an ordinary girl that I just look like, I mean she must've been a cheer girl or nerd.

I had arrived at the cafeteria- wait, where did everyone go?

I checked my watch, 3:26pm, school has finished?

I walked around the empty halls with only my shoes against the marble floor. I had thought maybe we had an early finish on an Wednesday? But it would have been impossible, I just finished my class before lunch...

My mind's going insane, I can't think straight. Oh wait, I was going to ask Stefan about that night.

I barged through the entrance double doors and quickly stepped down the stairs, quickening my pace. The streets were silent with no cars, no civilisation and just me. A bit strange because it's the busiest at this time wouldn't you think?

"Here I am again" I muttered to myself looking straight towards the Salvatore house. Just the same as I saw, I think...?

As I approached the stairs, I heard some arguing inside. I thought Stefan only lived here.

*KNOCK KNOCK*

I waited patiently for at least some form of a human I would be able to see.

Minutes went by and I thought maybe I was hearing voices and Stefan maybe isn't home? I sat up from the mossy bench and started to walk down the sta-

"Y/N hey!"

I glanced behind me and Stefan was standing in the doorway with a slight smirk.

Trying to not to trip, I jogged a little to the raised platform, "I didn't think you were home, I'm sorry for just, showing up randomly," I giggled.

"Oh honestly, it's fine!", he opened the door wider for me to enter, "What bring's you here?"

I walked over to the couch and sat down; I stuttered, Stefan began to laugh but pretended to hide it. I gave him a look and smirked to where we both giggled. "Okay, I just wanted to ask something if you don't mind. I came to your house the other day, or yesterday? Never mind,  I had forgotten my history book; because you had it." Stefan had leaned over with a more serious or an even, worried face, "And I knocked, the door was already open so I stepped in shouting your name. No one answered so I figured to leave and ask again another day. The door shut behind me and that's all I remember..."

Stefan had a severely strange emotion, he was confused, worried, clueless all in one.

"I just thought you should kn-"

*THUD*

We both looked up towards the ceiling and Stefan stood up, "I'm gonna go check what that was, stay here."

I nodded and waited. The interior was very furnished and old-fashioned. I like this I thought to myself whilst scanning the area to where I looked behind me to discover.

"Hello"

I turned my head and a dark haired man with a black leather jacket was smirking.

"Oh, I don't mean to scare you. I apologise." He giggled to himself. "I am guessing Stefan had brought his friend around to have a little chat." He started to walk around the couches, "a lover?" he giggled again whilst pouring bourbon in a glass. "You know, you look really familiar, Like real familiar." He paused to look at me and looked behind me.

"Stefan! How lovely to see you! Here I see a girl that sits on our couch. But you know what," I glance at Stefan staring into his eyes. He didn't move, take his eyes off. He was completely still. I turned my head to look at unknown man again. "She looks just lik-"

"Stop." Stefan interrupted.

"Oh, can I not say her name? Will it break your little heart?"

"Y/N, could you please leave." Stefan gave the book to me but still not looking at me. I grabbed it and stood up. I asked, "Do you mi-"

"No Y/N."

I sighed and started to walk, "Hey no, stay." I turned my head, "I would love to meet you more in detail, you would allow it Stefan won't you?" he glanced over to Stefan with a demanding look to where Stefan finally looked at me, "Ok."

Adrenaline run down my body but at the same time I was questioning who this man was. He looked a little familiar, just couldn't think where from...
