Omniscient Pov

"It's Miah birthday today." Meshell, K'yonii, K'yonaa and K'yonn's mother said barely able to breathe

"Mommy. It's April 29th. Miah's birthday is October 10th."  K'yonii said sweetly "Do you need water?" K'yonii asked her mom worriedly

"No. Why aren't you at school?" Meshell asked unable too move as well "I missed the bus. I'm waiting on the late bus" K'yonii shrugged

"But I have to leave now it comes in 2 minutes." she said getting up to kiss her mother's head "I love you. See you later mommy." K'yonii said getting an I love you in return

Later that day

"K'yonn, K'yonii and K'yonaa. Get your stuff and go to the office you guys are going home." They're teacher, Ms. Rozzi, dismissed with a sadden face

They all had the same class since their mother refused to have them separated. I mean since their triplets they haven't been separated their whole lives...Literally.

Making their way to the office the principal was already outside greeting them with a small smile that wanted to turned into a frown.

They were greeted by their phony grandmother, Rosita who didn't really like them but put up with them for their mother considering she was the only child.

"Hi nana." The three said in unison while they're grandmother sat there with a sadden face meaning she had bad news for the three.

"Follow me." she told them squeakily and quietly. They looked at each other confused but ended up trailing behind her.

14 minutes later

"Okay." their grandmother started bit began to get teary "Your mother...she uhh. She passed away this morning." She said as her voice cracked

"What?" K'yonii asked as tears threatened to fall down her face. Meanwhile K'yonn and K'yonaa were bawling their eyes out.

K'yonii felt that as the oldest she was supposed to hold her emotions together for them. She didn't cry. Well a couple of tears escaped her eyes but that was it.

She felt as if it was her fault and that she should have stayed with her mom or told someone to keep an eye out and none of this would have happened.

Day of the funeral

Everyday K'yonii blamed herself while her brother and sister cried themselves to sleep. She'd always think too hard and space out when she thought of her mom.

Walking up to her mom's casket with her sister on her left and brother on her right she just stood there. Not shedding a tear.

She turned around hearing the door close seeing a face she hadn't seen in about a month or two. "Daddy?" she said to herself dropping her siblings hands running to him

"Are you coming home today?" she asked wanting to cry but she held herself together. He ignored her holdin' her tightly but eventually decided to answer

"Not today. But soon. I promise." he said and he meant it. Their father K'yonn was in the county for drug possession and using a gun without an license.

Since his wife had passed away the jail decided to let him attend the funeral and also the repass.
