Lysandros and Cassius were riding their horses through the green lands of their kingdom, their kingdom had been attacked by the legendary dragon Jormungandr; Lysandros's Father was killed in the attack, leaving him as the king
"Lysandros, I am sorry" Cassius started and Lysandros sighed
"There's no need to be sorry, Cassius, it was an accident" Lysandros said
"But I still feel so guilty" Cassius said as Lysandros sighed
"It is said that Jormungandr would rise in the wake of Ragnarok and destroy the remaining survivors" Lysandros said solemnly
"You and I know that this war the world is so wrapped up in is pointless. There is no end" Cassius said. That's when the thought occurred to Lysandros. The thought that kick started events that would not be thwarted.
"My father wanted this war won and that's what will be done" Lysandros stated. It was courageous but incredibly idiotic
"Lysandros, this is... awful, mad, stupid" Cassius said, exasperated at such a thought
"It is no such thing, Cassius, I'm fulfilling my father's wish and I will not fail, not now" Lysandros said
"When? If you do not fail now, when will you fail? Will it be when our kingdom is in ruins? Or when our people are dying of starvation?" Cassius replied
"Our army was once the strongest in all the lands, none of what you said will happen. We will fight and we will win" Lysandros said
"Your ignorance will be our destruction, Lysandros Darragton" Cassius said
