~AUTHOR POV~

(FLASH BACK)

The two year old girl was sniffling back her tears as she curled up on the cold bed, nothing to cover herself into the dark cold room. She spent all day and night crying and calling for her mom and dad and even her older brother Yoongi.

At first she thought she did something wrong. Did this happen because she stole yoongis last cookie that their mother made?

Little y/n didn't know. She just wanted to go home but the large man told her she is to stay in the dark room until she's allowed out.

"Mama!!" Y/n

She called out but heard nothing.

"Papa!!" Y/n

She tried her father again but nothing was heard back. Still curled up in a ball on the bed, scared to look around the room. Y/n was scared of the dark. The only person that would make her feel brave was her brother.

"Yon-gah!!!" Y/n

Not being able to say his name properly but she always tried her best. Even in this situation she's in right now. Hungry, scared, cold and alone there was nothing that can be done on her part.

Little did she know that upstairs within the large house above her, was a couple Mr and Mrs Kim. They were currently arguing about the fact there was a little girl downstairs in their basement.

Mrs Kim furious that her husband would be so desperate to clear their debts to kidnap a little two year old girl on behalf of another family. The same family that is related to little Y/n herself.

"I had to do it!! We have a son to feed!!" Mr Kim

"But that doesn't meant we have to ruin another innocent child life!!! We can grow vegetables in our garden and find another way to live!! Not like this." Mrs Kim

Kim Jongin, the five year old listening to his parents argue but the bottom of the stairs was curious about this apparent girl that's been mentioned. Now thinking back to this morning when he was told not to go to the basement he can't help but now go down to the basement to find out what's going on.

Jongin skipping off the steps he quietly made his way to the basement doors that weren't locked. Opening the large door Jongin without a doubt walked down the wooden steps that led to the basement only to hear little cries of a small child. Younger than himself he knew that much.

Now at the bottom of the steps, in the far corner of the room almost hidden in the dark he saw a bed. It was a spare bed Jongin once until he got a new one.

"Hey you." Jongin

He called out and the girl quickly looked up, startled by the boys voice and just jumped up to sit. In some strange way, the new boy in front of y/n reminded her of Yoongi, her older brother.

"Why are you crying?" Jongin

He skipped over to her by the bed just to be amused that she didn't even try and run away from him. In fact y/n was too young to not understand strangers and was too trusting for her own good.
