Y/N looked the male up and down. She couldn't see his face properly thanks to his mask, but his voice and his smile were enough to convince her to talk to him for a moment. "It's lovely to meet you too, Jimin. I'm Y/N." The girl froze for a moment. Should she have told him her name? She hadn't been given an alias for outside the gangs home, so maybe her alias was just her name? It would have to be now, she had told someone her name. If she suddenly changed it to something else, it would be obvious she introduced herself with her real name.
Jimin flashed that stunning smile again, before pulling his wallet out of his deep red suit pocket. "Want a drink?" He offered, reaching into the wallet to pull out some loose change for a couple of drinks. Y/N wasn't sure, she didn't know who in this place was in a gang or who was a regular citizen. The only people she could trust was her gang, and even then she still wasn't completely sure she could trust them. It had only been a week of her living with them, after all.
"No, thank you. I can get my own. But thanks for the offer." The young woman smiled, holding her hands up to insist the male didn't buy her a drink. She was sure she had seen his smile drop, but wasn't sure if it was the bad lighting causing her eyes to play tricks on her as he was brightly smiling again. The male leaned forwards across the table, looking at the girl closer. "I've never seen you around here before. Do you live nearby?"
Y/N shrugged, shifting in her seat. This man was a little too close, and she was starting to wonder if he was suspicious of her with the questions he was asking. "I live in the city, yes. Have lived here all my life. I haven't really gone out much until recently, I am celebrating getting into college." She lied through her teeth about getting into college. Y/N wasn't sure if this man was a civilian himself, or part of another gang, so she couldn't be too careful. In fact, come to think of it, he mentioned never seeing her around here but she had never seen him around the city before.
"I have never seen you around the city before, are you new here?" The girl questioned, watching as the blue haired male sat back into his chair and his smile left his face. "Yeah, I haven't lived here long. Moved here with some family a few years back." Even Jimin was lying, but he hid it well. The small talk between the two almost made Y/N forget to look for the rich man she was supposed to be watching out for. However, as soon as she turned her attention away from Jimin, she felt him reach across the table and grab her hand. She retracted her hand from his, and he held up a piece of paper with a number on it. "Oh, I didn't mean to startle you. I need to go though, and thought I'd give you my number. But it looked like you were looking for someone so I didn't want to disturb you."
That was a weird way of giving someone your number, but Y/N wasn't going to comment on that. Instead she just offered a small smile and took the piece of paper with the number on it. "Oh, thank you. It was lovely speaking with you."
"You too." The male replied, before standing and walking away. He disappeared into the crowd and Y/N focused on looking out for the rich man she was supposed to be looking for. Soon enough, she spotted a man who looked just like him. Of course, she couldn't tell 100% that it was him since the room was dimly lit. He wasn't wearing a mask, however, so it made it easier for her to be able to tell when she got closer.
The man sat down at the bar in the room, and Y/N took this as her moment to approach and try getting him to drink. "Hello, may I join you." The girl sat down without giving the man a chance to answer. He watched her closely, a small smirk on his face as he looked her up and down. He was taking in every feature of hers that he could.
"Well well, what's a pretty lady like you doing at a shitty old masquerade ball like this?" The older man asked, his voice full of a flirtatious tone. Y/N felt her stomach churn at the sound of the mans voice. It was disgusting, but she had to act like she wasn't bothered by his attempts at flirting. "Looking for someone to have a drink with." She winked, putting on her own flirtatious tone. Agreeing to order some drinks for the two of them, the man placed his wallet on the bar. "I'll open a tab for us both, have as many drinks as you want, Princess."
A few pints and shots later, the man was starting to become tipsy, and it was becoming easier for Y/N to talk to him. Of course, he was trying a lot more flirting techniques and trying to get Y/N to tell him about herself. However, she hadn't had much to drink, so she was still fully able to control the situation. Taking the last gulp of her vodka, the young woman thought now would be the best time to try finding out about the safe and the key, and to try taking the mans wallet. She looked around, using only her eyes, to make sure nobody was paying any attention to her and this rich man. "So, you seem to have a lot of cash on you." She teased, leaning closer to the man and using a seductive tone to speak to him.
The rich male looked at her, his eyes half closing due to how much he had been drinking, and his words slurring. "Aye. I have more too. In my hotel room. There's...a safe. I can show you, I can give you anything you want. You would just need to come back to the room with me..." the male trailed off, his tipsy self shifting in his seat before his hand landed on Y/N's thigh. He gave it a slight squeeze and Y/N was using all of her might to not swat his hand away harshly. She was trying her best to not look uncomfortable, or to stiffen up. Hyunjin had told her that she shouldn't look visibly stiff, even in uncomfortable situations.
Y/N gently peeled the mans hand away from her thigh, pushing it back into his own thigh. "Oh, really? Tell me more about this safe...I'm intrigued. Maybe we can come up with some sort of deal." As Y/N spoke, and distracted the male, she managed to slip a couple of his rings off his fingers without him noticing. Somehow, she also succeeded in slipping them into her purse without him seeing, as he was too busy thinking about his safe. "If you want to know more about the safe, I urge you to come back to my hotel room with me. I promise you, it will be worth everything you do." The man wasn't giving up, he was very persistent on wanting to take Y/N back to his hotel room.
He started to get impatient when Y/N kept trying to change the subject, or kept ignoring his offers to go back to the hotel room. The man grabbed her wrist harshly and pulled her closer to him. "You really should come to my hotel room, I'll give you everything in my safe if you do." Y/N winced from the mans grip, but allowed her eyes to land on his own wrist. There was a bracelet he was wearing which caught Y/N's eye. The bracelet was the key to the safe. He had tied it to some string and wrapped it around his wrist as a bracelet!
The young woman's eyes trailed up to meet the older mans face. Y/N needed to think of a tactic, or strategy, and fast, so she would be able to get the key off this mans wrist.
