THE TODOROKI HOUSEHOLD WAS OFTEN QUIET. It was rare for there to be much commotion or interactions between the family members.

Fuyumi actively tried to bring everyone together for dinner, although the number two hero often spent late nights at his agency and the twins ate in their rooms or at separate times. It was hard for her to make it feel like they're a family again when Shouto and Ayaka were so distant at this point it was hard to say they were even twins at all.

It was a bit better when Natsuo was able to visit home, Ayaka seemed to always be in a better mood around her older brother, but he rarely came home. He hated to see the flame hero.

The only true place they'd all be able to connect was with their mother, Rei. The only issue with that was that Shouto was too stubborn to believe anything but the fact that seeing his mother would only cause her more pain.

Ayaka was a whole other story.

The white-haired girl groggily stepped out into the kitchen, eating a protein bar as she rubbed her eyes tiredly. Fuyumi was gathering her things to head off to work.

"Sleep well?" she asked her, to which Ayaka gave a hum in response, still trying to wake herself up.

In all honesty, it was hard for her to sleep. Katsuki filled her thoughts, she didn't expect him to be so significant that he kept her up at night without even doing anything. His presence was just that strong.

Everything about him was imprinted in her mind. His spiky yet soft blond hair, his piercing scarlet eyes that locked her in every time she spotted them, his muscular arms-

The loud slam of the front door echoed through the house, breaking Ayaka out of her thoughts.

She quickly finished her granola bar, clenching the wrapper tightly. Her distracting thoughts needed to stop wandering, especially on the first day of her actual hero training.

No distractions. That's how Shouto was able to train so efficiently... Now all she needed was her father to yell at her and abusively train her past her limits.

She pinched herself for that awful joke.

As she and Shouto walked up to the gates of the school, she looked around at all of the other students huddled in groups with signs and goodies passed out.

"Come join the Kendo Club!" one called out. "Join the All Might Fan Club! Hey, you! Here's a pin," she could hear a few say as the twins passed by the students on their way into the school.
