BAKUGOU QUICKLY TURNED AYAKA TO FACE HIM THE MOMENT SHE SAT DOWN. "The fuck was that earlier?" he snarled at her. As she set down her bag, she looked at his death stare.
"What was what? I told you I was sitting with Kaminari and Sero," she said, shifting in her seat as his piercing red eyes burned into her gaze. "It was rude of you to pull me away from them like that, if you wanted to sit together you could've told me," she mumbled, resting her cheek in the palm of her hand as she looked to the side.
It really frustrated her that he made such a scene like that. As much as she liked him, he had a knack for things like that. Unlike her, she didn't want to stand out of the masses around them everywhere they went.
"So you're already buddy buddy with those extras?" he spat out, making her huff. "Tch," he clicked as she turned around to face the front. Who did she think she was ignoring him?
"It's me!" a voice echoed through the classroom, "Coming through the door like a normal person!" All Might exclaimed with a deep laugh as he entered the room.
The class fawned over the hero, exclaiming different versions of excitement. Ayaka liked All Might, although she was used to not being able to express her joy over the hero because of her home life.
She remembered seeing him on television, in all his glory as he took down a villain with his famous phrase, "I am here!", it always gave her heart that small flutter that made her realize not all heroes were rotten. Not all were like Endeavor.
If her childhood wasn't so sheltered and closed off, she was sure that she would grow to love All Might as much as everyone else did. For now, it was mere admiration. They all held that look in their eyes whenever All Might was near or mentioned — pure adulation.
"Foundational hero studies!" All Might dramatically walked to the front of the class and stood with his hands on his hips with a wide grin. "For this class, we'll be building up your hero foundation through various trials!"
He flipped around a large rectangular card that read:
"BATTLE"
"Let's jump right in with the trial of battle!"
Ayaka could see Katsuki shrivel up in anticipation from behind him, seeing his back muscles tense up as he did what she assumed to be clenching his fists. What she didn't see was the scary demonic look of determination on his face.
"To go with your first battle we've prepared the gear we had you send requests for to match your quirks," the hero gestured towards the tall shelves stacked with their hero costumes. "Get changed and we'll be ready to go! What you wear into the battlefield is vitally important ladies and gentlemen," he grinned.
