Capter 8: Welcome

***Nathan's POV***

We quickly got home and I showed them where they would be staying.

I helped them around the house and told them to unpack. As they unpacked, I got out of my suit and into more comfortable clothes.

When I finished, I went downstairs just as Jayne walked in the house.

"Hey Jayne. Can I ask you something?" I asked.

"Sure."

"Is it okay if a close friend stays here for a while? She was supposed to go to Japan today and stay with her brother, but a bad storm is coming and cancelled all flights. She has no where to stay."

"Of course she can stay here!" She replied happily. "And you said it was a she?" I was about to tell her it wasn't what she thought, but we were interrupted by Lisa coming down the stairs.

"Nath-" she started to say as she reached the bottom if the stairs, but cut herself off when she saw Jayne. "Jayne?" She asked.

"Lisa?! What are you doing here?!" Jayne replied as they hugged each other.

"Nothing at the point." They released from the hug and turned to me.

"How do you guys know each other?" I asked, utterly confused.

"Oh, her cousin is on the hockey team my husband coaches. We went to a practice and met. Her cousin is my husband's favorite player on the team."

"Wow. It's great to see you guys know each other. I don't have to introduce anyone. One less thing I have to do." I sat on the bar stool and listened to them talk about petty things.

"How's Josh and James?" Jayne asked.

"We're awesome." Josh said as he came into the kitchen holding James. Lisa rolled her eyes and Jayne smiled.

They hugged and what not, leaving Jayne to cuddle with James because according to Josh and Lisa 'He's everyone's favorite.'

"Well, I'll be upstairs. I have to call mom and dad and let them know what happened." Josh said.

"Alright. Tell them I said hi." Lisa replied.

Lisa and I then walked out of the kitchen and into the living room.

As soon as I turned on the TV, Jay, Siva, and Tom walked through the door.

"Hey boys."

"Hey Nath. Who is this?" Tom asked kindly.

"This is Lisa. She is Jayne's as well as my friend. Her and who two brothers are staying here with us for a while. She's supposed to go to Japan, but her flight got canceled due to weather." I explained.

"It's nice to meet you Lisa." They all said as they shook her hand.

"How old are you?" Jay asked.

"9" She replied.

"That's cool." Siva said.

"I remember when I was nine. I broke my arm. Good times." Tom joked. Everyone calmly had a conversation with Lisa and got her to warm up to them. They had a nice conversation.

Jayne walked into the room with James and sat down on the couch.

"Oh, hey boys. I see you've met Lisa." Jayne said.

"Yep." They all replied.

"This is James, her little brother. I love this kid." Jayne said.

"You can take him if you want." Lisa jokingly suggested. I chuckled.

"I cannot tell you how many times I've suggested that to people with Jess." I said, making everyone laugh. Our night was fun.

When it got to 10:00, we decided to go to bed. Lisa already fell asleep on the couch and we kind of just looked at how innocent she looked.

"I'll carry her up to her room. Night lads." I said and carried Lisa to her room.

When I laid her down, I took off her shoes, drawn back her covers, and tucked her in.

I looked down at her and smiled, giving her a kiss on the forehead.

I was about to leave when I remembered. Nash.

I quietly got Nash out of her bag and put it next to her. Lisa's arms immediately snatched around him.

I had to laugh at this. It was kinda cute...

Anyway, Jayne tucked in James, so all I had to do was check on Josh. I slowly opened his door and peaked in, seeing him fast asleep. I smiled and quietly closed the door.

When I turned around, I saw all the boys, watching from a distance, looking at me, with smiles.

"What?" I asked suspiciously.

"You. You're soooo father like, but you're only 16." Jay started, the others nodding in agreement.

"Well, I promised their brother I'd watch them. Plus they mean a lot to me." I said, shrugging. And after that, I went to bed and fell asleep.
