At about three in the morning I was awoken by footsteps approaching.
"Mr. Sprolls," the doctor inquired.
My dad nodded his head in acknowledgment.
"I have some good news, we have been able to get your wife stable, but she has suffered major head injuries and her right leg is completely shattered."
"Will she be okay?" I asked.
"I'm sorry Bella, but we just don't have an answer to that right now. I assure you that I will come talk to you after we know anymore about her condition."
"Okay well thank you for keeping us updated," my dad said appreciatively.
"No problem," the doctor replied as he walked away.
My dad turned to me, and told me to get some sleep. I made him promise to wake me up if he was told any more news regarding my mom.
I laid back into the very uncomfortable chair and eventually drifted back to sleep.
5 hours later
I was awoken again but this time by my dad.
"Bella, Bella time to get up," my dad said as he coaxed me awake.
I sat upright and asked if there was anymore news on my mothers condition, and to my great disappointment there wasn't.
He told me that I needed to go home and eat, and that our neighbors had offered to look after me until my mom got better.
He said that I would be staying in their guest room until my mom was stable enough for them both to come home.
I was very hesitant to agree, but I figured that if I argued that would just put more stress on my dad, so I decided to go.

After I got home I made myself some eggs and called Sage to tell her why I had left the party so early.
"Hey Sage."
"Hey Bella."
"Sorry I didn't call to see how the rest of the part went, a drunk teenager hit my mom on her way home from work, and I had to rush to the hospital to make sure everything was ok."
"Oh my gosh Bella why didn't you call me sooner!"
"I know I should have, I just didn't want to ruin all the fun you were having at the party."
"Okay well next time if your mom gets admitted to a hospital you can definitely call me and ruin my fun."
I rolled my eyes, "okay Sage I've got to go, my neighbors are looking after me until my mom gets better. I need to go pack. I love you, see you Monday.
Bye Sage."
"Bye Bella, call me later."
