In about 30 minutes I was all packed and ready to go to my neighbors house. Although I was nervous to be staying with new neighbors I had never met before, I was also very grateful that they were letting me stay with them.
I walked up the path leading to their house and knocked on the door.
Almost immediately someone answered,
"Hi you must be Bella, my name is Mary," she said very welcomingly.
"Come in, come in no point standing in 30 degree weather outside."
I grinned as she ushered me inside her home.
"Wow it's pretty cold out there today," I remarked.
"Ya it is, why don't I come introduce you to my son. This is Jayden."
I looked up at him in awe. I couldn't believe I was actually going to live with the guy I spilled water all over during Ryan's party!
" Nice seeing you again I don't believe we ever properly met," he said while extending his hand out to me.
I shook it and turned to his mom who had asked how we had met.
Jayden proceeded to tell her the embarrassing story.
"When I was at Ryan's party I was getting a drink, and Bella didn't realize I was standing right behind her. When she turned around she bumped right into me and her drink spilled all over me," he said trying not to laugh.
"Well that's quite the story."
"Ya I have to agree with you there," I said trying to hide my embarrassment.
"Jayden will you please show Bella to her room."
"Yea sure come on Bella."
"Well here it is, Casa de Bella.
I guess I will leave you to unpack your things and will see you soon downstairs for dinner."
"Okay sounds good, see you then!" I said with a little too much excitement. As I was unpacking, I started thinking about my mom. As I was thinking about her something hit me, I realized that the drunk teenager that hit her car was probably from Ryan's party. I just instantly felt this horrible feeling in the pit of my stomach, and started wondering if I could have done anything to stop the drinking that was going on. But thankfully before I had anymore time to dwell I was being called down to dinner and didn't have any time left to wonder what I could've done to prevent the accident.
