(6) "Just Give Me Space"

Three days later 

It was back to reality of work Allie had spent the last three days locked in her bedroom. Frankie or Madison couldn't get her to come out. But now it was Monday morning they had a job in Vancouver and was leaving for two weeks. Allie got her self ready for work and went into the office.

She wrote down all his messages from over the weekend. She went through Saturday's mail answered emails. Around 830 AM she heard his voice as the elevators opened he was walking and talking with Brandon and Sam. She collected everything she needed to give him. 

"Morning Ms Thomas." He said as he came through the door. 

She wouldn't look at him she followed him into his office. She laid all the stuff down on his desk and started to walk out.

"Allianna?" He said 

"Did you need something else?" She said without turning around. 

He looked down as he walked to where he could see her face. 

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to hurt you in any way. Allianna I don't have an excuse or a reason for how I acted Thursday night. But I am sorry for how I acted Friday morning. It's just that you and I work together all day..we have for last 9 years.." he said 

He lifted her chin but she looked away. "Allianna..I." He said but she cut him off. 

"I have to go.." she whispered and walked away. 

He looked down as he went back to his desk to read over everything. During the morning meeting Allianna was quiet kept her head down even when she read off his points he wanted to make. Brandon noticed that she was being unusually quiet and down. After the meeting was over Bucky stopped Allie again. 

"You can't do this here. We are at work and when we are here you have to fake a smile." He said 

She shook her head no and walked out. Brandon came back into the conference room. 

"What did you do little J?" Brandon said 

Bucky sighed. "I slept with her on New Year's Eve..and basically told her that no one was allowed to know and it wasn't going to happen again. She left in tears.." Bucky said 

"Oh but you don't have eyes for her." Brandon said

"Shut up! I didn't mean to get in bed with her.." he said as he left his brother there. 

Later that afternoon she was about to leave when he came out. 

"Allianna..look I am sorry. Okay I get it I'm an asshole for how I responded to the situation.." he said 

"No disrespect to you Mr Barnes. But please just shut up..I have heard your stupid apologies all weekend and today. I don't care how sorry you are. I have worked here for 9 years I've watched you date these beautiful super models..and I use to think that you were this great guy. I never thought you would be the type to fuck and drop the next morning when the alcohol wears off. I just need you to give me some damn space to deal with this on my own..okay? I get it I'm not the gorgeous supermodel or actress.." she said as she started walk out. 

"Allianna I didn't say that I regret it or I think you are beautiful. But we work together and if we didn't work out this right here is exactly why office relationships shouldn't happen.." Bucky said 

"Whatever.." she said and walked out. 

"Oh little brother you really pissed her off. I think the last time I remember a girl telling you off was in highschool." Brandon said 

"Bran not now." He said 

"You wanna know why she is being like this. Cause you let her get away with to much. You let her speak her mind you don't set professional boundaries with her." Brandon said as Bucky gathered his things. 

"Brandon stop!" Bucky said as he locked his office door then Allie's. 

The next morning Allie came into her office she filled out a paper requesting time off. When he came in she gave it to him. 

"Allianna? We just had our holiday break. If you want to take a couple of days that's fine but two weeks isn't professional." Bucky said 

She walked out. "Allianna?" He said as he followed her out. 

She was in the conference room getting the coffee ready. 

"Why do you need two weeks?" He said 

"Maybe I need to get away from you for a little bit. Maybe the only way I'm gonna be able to heal heart is to take some time away. I liked you and now I think you are a complete ass." She said as she walked out. 

All day she continued to ignore him or only talk to him when she needed to. Bucky came out when she was about to leave. 

"I'm giving you a week and half. Allianna I never meant to hurt you the way I have." He said 

She looked down. "I asked you to stop..to give me space.." she said as she walked away. 

That night she left as she was able to get the last flight to GA from JFK.
