Chapter 6: A Headstart

I just found a poster stamped into an electric post that hires people to make and process sugar or something like that, it pays £2 every week, I can't really complain because I really need a job to survive, and I guess here's what I'm wishing for! It has been granted! I can't help but smile again despite all of the things that happened to me there are still good things that can happen to you, even if I'm only 16, I'll do my best and give everything I have to Climb to The Top...

Elize!! Look! I found something! "Oh? What is it?" Elize looked at me as I wave the poster I found earlier, I think I have found a job! I shouted excitedly at Elize, "What's that job all about?", well the poster says it's about processing and manufacturing sugars, and I get  £2 every week, "That offer sucks! Isn't there any job that can pay you a bit better?", W-well I don't actually know but I might encounter one someday, I mean it's not a lot but at least we can fill our stomachs for once and besides, I still have my budget tucked away in my can which is  £20, and that's good enough right? "I guess so, but just be sure that they pay you on time since what kind of people are they if they give you such a low salary but they'll pay you late? Just tell me if they pay you late, we'll take this case to court if we wanted to." W-Woah! Easy there Elize! Court already? I-isn't that a bit much? They maybe sometimes get delayed because they have their own problems you know, we might never know actually WAHAHAHA "You're such an idiot Darcey!", that's cute~ hehehe~

Hmm, it says here that I should go to the sugar center near the London City Hall, oh boy this'll be a long walk, Elize! Do you want to come with me? "Yeah! Sure! I'll just pack our stuff and make sure nothing's left behind" oh well! Take your time then! I wonder what kind of working environment is it? Is it going to be full of sugars? Is it going to be dusty? I wonder what, it seems like I'm daydreaming too much, but oh well whatever is reserved for me I'll take it, "Alright! Let's go!!" 

This might take a while to get through and it feels almost like an adventure isn't it Elize? "Not for me at least since I walk the same route every single day every time I go to school since it's a shortcut from here to there" Oh! So is your old house near around the area? "Hmm, close enough, not too far and not too near, just in between" do you think if we can afford to go to school again, are we going back to school? "Probably since even now it's so difficult just to find a job, how about now when we become adults and have a fa-" E-ehhh? I don't know what she just said but I just saw her covering her mouth as her cheeks turned red. W-what was that again? "N-nothing! Just carry on with the walk! D-damn it!!!" I can't help but to giggle because of the way she reacts to something that I have no idea what she said, but anyways, I still wonder what did she try to say.
