Where am I?

"I thought you deserved to sleep" said a man from across the room.

"You hiked just as far as I did" grumbled another man's voice from directly behind me. Tensing slightly, I realised quite how directly; the second man seemed to be pressed right up against me, embracing me from behind. And if I wasn't mistaken, he was naked, and I didn't have much clothing on either. Fear flooded my senses, as my pulse rate exploded. What the hell had gone on, while I'd been unconscious and vulnerable?

Attempting to regulate my breathing so they didn't realise I had woken, I lay there quietly, trying to work out where on earth I was and what had happened. I very slowly opened my eyes, just the smallest amount.

"Yeah" the man across the room chuckled. "But all I had to carry was a rucksack, not a human being!"

Gazing subtly around without turning my head, I quickly worked out that I was in some kind of log cabin. A huge fire roared just feet from the mattress I was lying on, and a welcoming smell of food drifted through the air. There appeared to be just two men. I caught glimpses of the man in the kitchen. He was tall, probably five foot ten, maybe more. His dark hair was tousled to perfection, whilst he wore a casual shirt, scuffed jeans and slippers.

"I should check on our patient again" said the cook. I instantly snapped my eyelids shut, as I sensed him moving towards us.

The man behind removed his arm, which had been holding me close, leaving me feeling strangely bereft without his warming touch. Ever so gently, I was then rolled onto my back.

"You're awake" said a voice gently. It wasn't a question.

I couldn't help but swallow. Otherwise, I showed no sign of responding.

"Sweetheart" he continued gently. "You're safe here. Please open your eyes."

Trustingly, I slowly did as I was told, only to discover a terrifyingly good-looking man smiling tenderly down at me. It was the kind of gaze a girl could get used to being on the receiving end of.

"What's your name?" he smiled, displaying perfect teeth.

"Y/N" I croaked, staring trustingly into his kind brown eyes.

"Hey Y/N. I'm Jin and this is Jungkook" he added, nodding towards his friend who was still out of my line of sight. "We're here to help you."

"Do you really want to help me?" I asked, inhaling a shaky breath. Still a little concussed, I was aware I was probably talking nonsense but that didn't stop me sharing my concerns. "I was just thinking about that story, Misery..."

"Fuck!" groaned Jungkook's voice, and I felt a grown man's body shudder slightly behind me. "Please don't refer to that ever again! That movie fucking petrified me!"

Feeling marginally better, I twisted my head slightly, to observe my sleeping companion. Immediately, I felt the air being sucked from my lungs as my eyes opened wide; he was...utterly gorgeous. As he sat up, his chest and well-defined, powerful arms came into view. I guessed he must be at least as tall as Jin, although it was difficult to judge accurately, whilst he sat on the bed next to me.

"Could you give us a second?" requested Jin. "Dinner probably needs checking and if you could put the kettle on...?"

"Consider it done" grinned Jungkook, flashing his eyebrows at me. As he stood, I was incredibly relieved to observe that he was wearing shorts on his bottom half.

"We were lying either side of you, to try and increase your low body temperature" Jin explained, blushing slightly. "You weren't recovering quickly enough for my liking. And I had to remove some of your clothing because it was cold and wet. It's currently in the dryer. I hope it goes without saying that nothing happened."

"Right. Thanks" I breathed. I couldn't explain why, but I implicitly trusted these two men. They were my protectors, not my aggressors.

"Your temperature had dropped worryingly low. But you've improved now."

"Thank you for helping me."

Reaching behind, Jin picked up a folded hoodie and tracksuit pants and placed them on the mattress.

"I'm afraid they'll be way too big" he explained with a smile, noting my petite frame. "But at least it's something dry and warm for you to wear, until your own clothes are ready. We'll just be out of the way, in the kitchen."

Dinner that evening was a relaxed and cosy.

"So where's home?" asked Jungkook equally dividing the remaining bottle of wine into each of their three glasses.

It was quickly calculated that we lived less than twenty miles apart.

"Shall we go and sit nearer the fire?" suggested Jin after we'd all finished eating. "I don't know about anyone else, but it feels like the temperature has dropped further."

"I'll put some more coal on the fire" offered Jungkook.

Curled up on the sofa between the two men, we chatted happily, long into the evening. When at last, Jungkook verbally raised a suggestion I had been silently considering.

"Would anybody be against us all sleeping in here, in front of the fire?" he murmured, looking particularly at me, "Each of the separate bedrooms will be fucking freezing right now."

"That's okay with me" I said shyly. "I'll just go to the bathroom and get ready for bed."

"Hang on" said Jin, holding up the smallest of his soft, buttoned shirts that he'd been able to find. "You're welcome to wear this if you like."

"Thanks" I said, shyly accepting the offering.

JUNGKOOK AND JIN

Having watched Y/N make her way out of the room, Jin turned to face Jungkook.

"I trust you're planning on keeping your hands to yourself?" he asked sternly.

"How about I guarantee not to initiate anything" chuckled Jungkook. "Beyond that, I can't make any promises."
