TW- Misgendering
"Flora! Come here!"
Fundy hated that name. That's not his name. And today, he was going to tell his dad who he was. Because Flora wasn't his name.
"Wilbur?" Fundy said hesitantly. "Yeah Flora?"
Fundy winced. There it was again. But there was no going back now. "I have something to tell you. Privately." Fundy cast a sideways glance at Eret, who he told a few weeks ago. Eret gave him an encouraging nod and a smile. Fundy allowed a small smile as well, as he lead his father into his room.
Fundy sat on his bed next to Wilbur, and began. "I have something important to tell you. Please don't freak out." Fundy didn't know what he was worried about, he was sure Wilbur would be excepting but...
"My name isn't Flora. And I'm not your daughter." Wilbur gave him a confused look.
"I'm a male, and my name is Fundy." Wilbur sat there for a few seconds, processing what his son had said. Then, slowly, he nodded. "Okay. That's okay." And just those few words filled Fundy with joy.
