Prescott House
It's the weekend and the horse riders were in the kitchen.
"Do you think the oven is hot enough?" Lucky asked looking at the oven.
"I hope it's perfect." Abigail said a little nervous.
"Hmm, it smells so good!" Lucky said fantasizing about it.
"Is it ready?" Pru asked nervously.
"It's like Grandma Stone says 'Four hours to make, one hour to bake, and then you'll have a perfect cake.' Well, pie, but that doesn't rhyme." Abigail said as she covered the cake-- I mean pie.
"Who cares? It looks amazing, and I can't wait to taste it." Lucky said amaze by it.
"Me neither, because then we can finally go out riding." Pru said not that amazed by it.
"Pru, trust me, I love riding but this pie is going to be the best." Landon said amaze by it as well.
"Oh, my. What are you four doing... with my grandmother's antique heirloom mixing bowl?" Cora said very upset towards them.
"Making my grandmother's antique heirloom Stone cherry pie." Abigail said lifting the pie.
"Your mother was just talking about that today in the general store. She said it's won the church bake-off for the past 24 years." Cora said before she looked at it and poked a finger in it to eat it.
"Mine!" Abigail said pulling the cake back as Cora ate some of it, amazed by it.
"It's divine! Is that almond coupled with, uh, cinnamon?" Cora asked amaze by the flavor.
"Sorry, it's a secret recipe. My grandmother won the bake-off, then my mother won, and now I've got to win, or I'll let down the generations of Stones and be an outcast and have to change my name! I could be Abby or Gail or Abigailerang or Lucky. No, wait." Abby said very nervously.
"I'm confident you'll rise to the occasion, Abigail." Cora said placing a hand on her shoulder.
"Thanks. I'm not panicking at all." Abigail said a little nervous as she ran and placed the pie in a drawer and closed it. She sighed out of relief and then realized something. "Oh, you're not the oven." Abigail said before she placed the pie in and sigh.
Later
"Hmm, even if I change my name, people will still recognize Boomerang. Maybe if I paint his white dots brown and his brown dots white?" Abigail asked then Boomerang rubbed his snout against her face.
"Mm, you have nothing to worry about. That pie smells delicious." Pru said can't wait to eat it.
"Yeah, it's gonna be great. I remember when your mom made it before." Landon said with a big smile on his face.
"Special delivery!" Mary Pat said as they came upon their horse.
"Lucky, this came on the train for you." Bianca said holding up a package.
"I'm Bianca. I only wear blue boots. You can remember it cause Bianca and 'blue' both start with B, " Bianca said, but it confused Lucky.
"Uh, 'brown' also starts with B." Lucky said but Landon placed a hand on her shoulder.
"She's a little girl, just let her have it." Landon said somewhat annoyed by it.
"We also brought the newspaper for your dad. Whatever it says made one lady faint." Mary Pat said holding it out.
"Ooh! I want to faint. What does it say?" Bianca said as Pru grabbed it and opened it.
"Ooh, it says banks all over the state are on high alert. Masked bandits robbed a bank in Silverlode and then one in Lasso Flats." Pru said which made some sense.
