                           CHAPTER ONE

Camille Collins

"Cami, wait up." I hear someone calling out to me. Turning around I see my two best friends Beth and Caleb making their towards me causing a smile form on my lips.

"Hey guys." I say when they catch up with me.

"Hey Cami." They both say at the same time. We continue to make our way to our lockers, considering the fact that they are right beside each other, that's pretty much how we became best friends. When we reach our lockers, we take out our respective textbooks. Caleb and I are having Science now, while Beth is having Maths. We were just catching up on how our summer holiday was until Caleb suddenly groans.

"What's wrong C." I ask with a confused look due to the sudden groan.

"What's wrong? I'll tell you what's wrong. What's wrong is for the fact that we had to come back to this hell hole." He whines with a cute pouty face.

"Caleb the holiday was like literally one and a half month." Beth told him while folding her arms.

"I know but it's too short." He says as we make our way to the cafeteria still waiting for the first bell.

Lemme use this opportunity to introduce myself. I'm Camille Collins. I'm seventeen, I was born in Saint Lucia but here I am now in LA. I have two younger brothers, Julian and Joshua. They're the worst. I've had only two boyfriends and I may or may not have a crush on Alfonso Romaña, the school's sweetheart, friends with the school's bad boy.

Then Beth Carter, my best friend. She's eighteen —which isn't fair— she's smart, funny, confident and the bestest friend I've ever had.

Last but not the least, Caleb Young. He's also eighteen. He's tall, dark, smart, nice, funny and he's in the school's football team. He's 6.1 in height and let's not forget that he's freakishly handsome.

We later hear the bell for first period and make our way to our classes. Caleb and I part ways with Beth as we make our way to Science class. Once we get to class we make our way to our respective seats. Caleb is sitting two rows away from me. Later our Science teacher, Mr. Douglas, enters the class making we all keep shut.

"Good morning students, today we'll be learning about the life cycle of some sea animals." He says in a bored tone.

Fifteen minutes into the class the door opens revealing no other than the school's bad boy, Bryce Walton.

Bryce is your average bad boy. All the girls want him and all the guys want to be him. Well all girls except me. I mean yeah he is blessed with the good looks and all, but he's arrogant, corky and plays girls like toys, and the worst part is that he has never had a girlfriend before. He's in the school's basketball team and he's 6.4. I'm not actually short with my 5.9, I feel like a dwarf whenever I see him.

"Mr. Walton, care to explain why you're fifteen minutes late for my class." Mr. Douglas questions him.

"Not really." He responds with his infamous smirk.

"Just go take a seat, and please do not interrupt my class again." He says without giving him a detention slip.

The class continues as Bryce makes his way to any seat. Five seconds later I hear the seat beside me scrap the floor as he sits down. Great.

I pay no attention to him and continue taking notes until....

"Hey beautiful." I hear him whisper to me.

Deciding just to ignore him, I continue to take notes.

"Hi Sweetheart." He tries again.

"Hey ugly, and do not call me sweetheart." I snap at him.

"Ouch, you hurt me right here." He says pointing to his chest with a pout.

"What do you want Walton." I say with an annoyed sigh.

"I'm just trying to become friends Collins." He says with that stupid smirk on his face.

"Bryce, we both know that you don't befriend girls, you hump and dump them." I say with a bored look on my face.

Ugh!! Why can't he go disturb some other girl and leave me alone.

"Your right, I don't befriend girls. So what do you say, my house 7pm don't be late." He says again while licking his lips looking me up and down.

Who the fuck does this guy think he is?

"I'm sorry, what the fuck did you just say." I say, glaring at him.

"My house 7—" He says but gets interrupted by the teacher.

"Mr. Walton, Miss. Collins, care to explain why your discussion can't wait till after my class." Mr. Douglas snaps at us with a glare.

"Nope, not really, Mr. D." The idiot beside me says. With that stupid smirk again.

Why can't he just shut the fuck up.

"Detention, both of you, after school, don't be late." Mr. Douglas says with a glare.

Great, first day back to school and I get detention.
