This was the first story I had written. After seeing The Force Awakens in Dec. 2016 I had an idea of some of the character arcs I would have liked to see, but since I hadn't written anything seriously in over a decade, I didn't really think of writing anything down, let alone an entire book... certainly not a seven-book saga. But as life often has different plans, I took a 10-hour road trip with my family in Jan. 2016, and for that ten hours, I just imagined an entire book while I drove. When I got home, I wrote it down... here it is.
One thing to notice is that the story had three parallel outlines--three stories that were occurring at the same time; Rey/Luke, Boba Fett, and Kylo Ren. You can see that on the outline. Each outline was written separately, but in line with each other, so when I wrote the final story, the scenes could easily be shuffled into each other.
You can see the lines between the outlines are where I "shuffled" scenes together. I checked off each scene I wrote as I finished.
Two pages of outline for 40,000 words.
