Stepping into the enormous dining room that is furnished with expensive quilted curtains. A long dining table made from African Blackwood and a long embroidered burgundy and gold table cover."Didn't think you'd show up," A young man with fair skin, brown hair, and brown eyes wearing a sharp suit seated on an armchair with a cigarette in hand.
"I wasn't planning to, however, I'm required to stay hidden." The young adult drags a breath. Slowly exhaling a colloid of smoke as he stands to his feet. The young man was a mere height of five foot six. As Emma towers about him by another two inches.
"Honestly," He chuckles then takes a drag from his cigarette before continuing.
"I'm glad you're here." She quirks a brow at him.
"I've missed you, sister." Wrapping his arms around her as she returns the embrace.
"I've missed you more, Luca." Pulling apart from one another, he sighs.
"Mama is going to be thrilled to know you're still alive." She frowns at him.
"Still alive? Did she not get my message?"
"Non. She was sick for a while. Some sort of disease however she managed to pull through." Making our way out of the dining room and walking side by side through the quiet halls.
"Father made sure of it." She sighs and nods her head.
"Of course. Knowing him he would never accept the way of our fates."
"Then we should be grateful that he doesn't. Otherwise, he'd let the fever take her." Walking out into the gardens of the enormous mansion.
"His heart is good. He wouldn't." He takes another drag and exhales while offering it to her.
"Yes. But a good heart will not last in a world like this. Not when the Dark Lord is said to return." Taking it between her index and middle finger.
"Papa has lived a longer life than him. That heartless wretch thing that people praise will be defeated. One day." She takes a long drag of the cigarette and then returns it to him.
"Careful, Emma. You never know who looms in the corner."
"Luca?" A woman with soft, hazel eyes and brown hair with strands of grays visible at her roots. The light wrinkles on her face revealed her to be middle-aged.
"Emma!" The woman takes quick strides towards the redhead.
"Mama!" Opening her arms to embrace her. Both tightly squeeze each other as the sound of more footsteps approaches.
"Papa! Emma is here!" A young girl with bright blonde hair and blue eyes sprints towards the two. Her pink dress flowed behind her as she wrapped her arms around the pair.
"Lydia!" Emma reaches down to give her a full hug.
"I made sure Papa and Mama weren't lonely while you and the others were gone." She whispered in her ear.
"Thank you for keeping your promise." The redhead replied as she retreated from the hug.
"And you did too." A man with slicked-back gray hair and wrinkles displayed on his face. Smiling at the young witch he had watched after and cared for.
"Ma Lys." The two embraced one another.
"Ja veis bein. J'ai terminé la tâche." He releases her and stares at her. The family tilts their heads in confusion except for Emma. She understood what he was doing as he continued to stare for another second before nodding his head. Then the two of them begin to walk side by side towards his office.
