The cold was night as shadows lurked at every corner in the forest. Distant howls of the wind and timber wolves roam through the woods. The full moon is displayed above the sky. It was perfect. She cherishes the chilly air that breezes through the air as she fiddles with her wand. With her back against the trunk, she remains seated patiently on the branch of the tree.As the sounds of nature settle to dead silence for a mere moment, cries and shouts replaced the peace.
"Yoo-hoo!" A distant taunting voice squealed in excitement as a woman sprints out of the shadows of the woods. Hot tears run down her red cheeks as she cries. Stopping to stand in the middle of the wide open space. The woman was terrified as the sound of footsteps approach her.
"Please! I won't say anything! I-I-I never saw you!" Kneeling to the ground in tears while a hooded figure began to slowly walk towards the terrorized woman.
"Oh, we know. It's just-" The witch clicks her tongue to the roof of her mouth.
"Hmm." Her eyes glance up towards one particular tree.
"I know you're there. You can come out now." A cloud of smoke appears from the top of the tree.
"I thought the Carrows would be dealing with this." The smoke shapes out another figure with identical clothing and a similar mask.
"Well, they're not."
"And since when do you hunt?"
"Oh! This is my seventh one in in the last month." She looks up towards the sky as she scrunches her face to think.
"Ah yep, a month."
"That's good, you're finally getting involved. Becoming part of the group." She nods her head.
"Yes, yes, although the ones that are all brave in the end are boring." She shrugs as the terrified woman stares at the two with wide eyes.
"Right?! That's what I told Preston!" The sound of the woman's sobs makes her groan in annoyance.
"Give me a second." The woman then raises her wand directing it at the heart of her prey.
"Wait. Please! I-"
"AVADA KEDAVRA!"
"It's been a year now since you've graduated and went off to who knows where. Care to share?" Raising the glass to her lips as she recalls the memories of her travel.
"Germany then Italy and...Russia for majority of the year. I finished the list at England."
"Mmm. How many?" She pushes back a lock of her ash blonde hair behind her ear.
"Three hiding in Düsseldorf. One in Berlin. Seven sprawled across from Rome, Florence and Milan." Taking another sip of the rich red wine from her glass.
"And the rest of them?" She snarls.
"A group of twelve in Moscow. And the last six in Yekaterinburg. Took me anywhere from five days to two weeks to get every one of them. Takes longer when the group is bigger."
"And still you had no time to drop by and say hi."
"I didn't want to risk it."
"That's understandable. Protecting your family from all of this." She takes a large gulp from her glass. As the redhead does the same the waiter approaches the women with a bottle.
"Mademoiselles your check has been paid along with our finest bottle of wine." He places the bottle in the center of the small round table.
"And who may we ask is responsible?" The redhead glances around the room.
