[part 6] hopes pov

i can tell that josie is scared to meet my family, i mean, who wouldn't be? they are original vampires and original witches. they are basically the most powerful family in the world. i hope she doesn't back out.

we were getting ready for the day. we are gonna drive back today, but first we we're gonna have lunch with my family at rousseau's.

"i'm nervous. what if they don't like me?", she asked me with a worried expression on her face.

"they will! i promise!", i said smiling.

"if you say so", she said while picking up her bag and walking out of the door with me.

we got there a few minutes early, which i think was better for josie because she could explore a little bit. as soon as we sat down my family arrived. i looked over to josie and she looked so scared. i quickly grabbed her hand and told her it was going to be okay.

i motioned my aunt keelin to sit on the other side of her. she isn't an original and is really nice! i think she will love her, my aunt quickly took the spot before anyone else could. once everyone was seated, i thought i would start the conversation.

"so... guys, i want you to meet my girlfriend, josie!", i said in the most cheerful way possible.

"hello love", my aunt rebekah said smiling.

"hi", my girlfriend said softly. my uncle kol smiled.

"you don't have to be scared of us darling, we won't bite!", he said smiling. it couldn't be my uncle without making people feel safe, well, ever since he fell in love with davina. my little cousin nik was sitting next to the other side of me.

"she's pretty", he whispered to me. i smiled.

"yes, yes she is", i said while looking at her.

the rest of the dinner went well. she started getting more and more comfortable. soon, we were all laughing and having a great time. soon enough we had to leave tho, we needed to arrive by the morning so we said our goodbyes, and headed off.
