Y/n was a kind girl. She lived with her partner in a tall, 8th floor building. Y/n did not have siblings, nor guardians. In fact, Y/n didn't have any living family members.

It was hard growing up. All alone on the streets, scavenging through the trash for leftovers of a meal or just something she could eat. She was small and skinny to the bone. Society would tend to ignore you and hoped that children like you would eventually leave the streets, if it means getting a job or perishing. It all meant the same to them.

Did you know where you came from? No, nor did you care. Survival was your top priority, you didn't care for people that would treat others like shit. You wanted no part of it.

Until one night. You were doing your regular food patrol, looking for food in the trash ect. when you came across a bag from the bakery a few blocks down. You quickly opened the bag seeing the fresh bagel lying inside. You stood with shock, whipping your head to the sides to check if someone was planning on stealing it. You glared back at it almost in disbelief. Yet you still sank your teeth into it. It. Was. Amazing. You'd never tasted something so luxurious before. But before you were about to take another bite you heard rustling coming from the other side of the fence behind you.

You got up and stood on the trash, lifting you up so that your tiny head could see over the top. You saw a boy on his side, crying quietly. You decided to get a closer look and you leap over the fence, still holding onto your bag.

The boy was in a worse shape than you were. Fresh cuts and bruises scarred their face, along with burns and scratches. As you were about to approach the boy you heard his stomach growl. 'Poor boy, he's probably way more hungry than I am.' You take a glance at your bag containing the bagel, then back at the boy. You felt pity for him, no one deserved to be treated like that. You slowly walked up to the boy, carefully poking his side, being cautious not to brush your finger against any of the scars. The boy turns to you with red puffy eyes. "Are you hungry? I found this in the trash and it's really good, but I think you need it more than I do right now." You said while gently placing the bag next to the frigid boy. He moves his shaky hands to to bag and takes a peek inside before giving you a 'are you sure?' kind of face. You nod as he looks back down taking out the bagel eating it while calming down a little.

You sit next to the boy and try to get some small talk from him, earning a few 'thank you's and 'yes's and 'no's from him. You were about to trade names with the boy but you soon heard a loud crash coming from the alleyway you were opposite of. You quickly turn to the boy and tell him to hide and be careful, thinking it's probably just the usual drunks roaming about the streets.

You steadily walk to the corner of the alleyway and look both ways. You see nothing and just begin to shrug it off, but as soon as you turn back you feel a large hand pick you up. You whip your head back around to see who it is but are shocked when you see that the 'thing' holding you up is not a human at all.

It's figure was tall and was a maroon colour with transparent holes in it, allowing you to see through it. It was almost floating and had a snake-ish kind of tail attached. It's eyes were glowing black and the face had no mouth or nose.

You tremble in fear as this thing inspects you. What was it? What was it doing? Why was it here? What was it going to do to you? You had many questions crossing your mind but right now you had to focus on running away. Soon, you heard a low and raspy voice echo through the streets. 'Found one yet, heavy metal?' They said. 'Heavy metal?' what did they mean? was that it's name??
