Hope Mikaelson had always been surrounded by magic, in many ways she was the embodiment of magic but it wasn't until that year that her life was truly magical.

Hope had woken up fairly early and was waiting outside the Slytherin common room for Lizzie.
"Hope, I feel like shit!" Lizzie clamored out of the door with a groan.
"That's what you get for getting drunk last night!" Hope laughed and tried to help Lizzie steady herself. Lizzie had had a few drinks with her roommates on her first night.
"There was a cute boy Hope and I'm weak!" Lizzie exclaimed.
"I thought we were done with boys?' The girls started down the hall.
"We are done with our ex's not boys!" Lizzie poked Hope's shoulder to drive home her point.
"Oh, god, Lizzie!" Hope held her head in her hands with a groan. "I have no desire for a relationship right now."
"Well you will." Lizzie stated in a tone that left no room for argument. "Now how do we get in?" Lizzie poked the statue in front of them.
"There's a password, Harry said it's 'lemon drop'." The staircase was opened up to them and they soon entered the ornate office.
"Ah, good to see you girls found your way!" Dumbledore stood from his desk and gestured for the girls to come and sit in the seats in front of his desk. Behind said chairs stood two people, Professor McGonagall and a man Hope didn't really recognize. "These are Professors Snape," He gestured to the man in black robes, "and McGonagall." She smiled at both girl whilst Snape remained stoic.
"Now, for this exchange program to work we will need some rules additional to the school rules already in place." Hope nodded as Dumbledore spoke. "Now, Miss. Mikaelson you are allowed to be out after curfew but only to go to the forest to turn and nothing else, no other students are allowed to accompany you and Professor McGonagall is to be informed beforehand. Do you understand?"
"Yes," Hope responded.
"I ask that neither of you preform magic outside of the classroom, small spells used for day to day things are admissible but unless given permission you are not allowed to use magic during the school day. Do you both understand?" Both girls nodded and Dumbledore gave them a kind smile. "In that case, I am happy to introduce you both to your heads of house, if you need anything you can go to them. We have also arranged tutors for you both in case you find any new subjects challenging." He looked towards McGonagall.
"Yes, Miss. Saltzman has been placed with Harry Potter and Miss. Mikaelson has been placed with Hermione Granger. Please contact them if you are in need of help in any classes." She smiled at both girls. Hope was happy to know Hermione was her tutor seeing as they were roommates. "Severus, anything to add?" Dumbledore asked the man, who had up until then been silent.
