The morning sun rose over the white landscape, shining in through the windows of the bedroom Mairi was in. She lifted the white sheets over her as she rolled over to her side. Her eyes flickered open to see Elijah's peaceful face. She smiled softly as she reached up to placed her hand onto his face.

"Good morning, beautiful." He spoke in a deep morning voice. His eyes flickered open to show his sparkling brown eyes with amber flakes through them.

"Good morning." She muttered back to him as he moved to place a gentle kiss on her lips. He then rolled over onto his back and pulled Mairi to his side. He wrapped his arm securely around her as she lay her head on his bare chest. She could hear his heart beating away calmly in his chest as his breath moved her up and down. "Last night was incredible."

"You were incredible." He chuckled deeply in his chest as he kissed the top of her head. They lay for a moment before Mairi moved to stand up, "Where are you going?" Elijah asked her as she slipped off the bed.

"I need a shower." She told him as she walked to his ensuite bathroom. The large walk-in shower. The shower had slates over the walls and white tiles on the floor. One ceiling to floor glass panel replaced a shower curtain with a rain-style showerhead. She reached in and turned on the water to allow it to heat up before she stepped under the warm water. She stood still directly underneath the waterfall, allowing herself to become completely soaked.

Suddenly a pair of hands placed themselves onto her hips, causing her to jump in fright slightly. But then she felt Elijah placed his lips gently onto her neck. "Why don't we save water?" He muttered as he used her hips to turn her around to face him. He quickly placed a kiss onto her lips before used his grip to lift her. Her legs instantly wrapped around his waist as their kiss deepened. He moved so her back was against the wall.

"Very environmentally friendly." She chuckled against his lips as they continued with the steamy shower. They were in the shower for more than thirty minutes before they finished. They walked out into the bedroom and with towels wrapped around them.

"Let me redress your wounds," Mairi said as she walked over to the drawers. She was going to have to steal some of Elijah's clothes as her's were dirty.

"Na, they should be fine," Elijah told her as she turned around to look at his back as he sat on the bed.

"It not even be two days. How can it be..." Mairi asked as she watched him take off the large bandaged she had put on him yesterday. And right enough, there was no wound to be seen.

"Fast healing," Elijah shrugged his shoulders as he folded the dressing before placing it on the bedside table.

"Right, I forgot. Werewolf and all that." She chuckled deeply as she pulled out one of his white dress shirts. She slipped it over her head and made it sit comfortably.

"Now, that is a sight that I would love to get used to," Elijah smirked at her in his shirt. "I'll make us breakfast and then we can look at heading back to town."

"Yeah, I need to get to the diner. Hopefully, Sharon has managed to keep everything running smoothly." Mairi said as she grabbed her towel and walked back into the bathroom to put it into the washing basket. When she walked back out, Elijah had changed into a pair of grey jogging bottoms. He was clearly not wearing any underwear so the cotton trousers left nothing to the imagination.

"Now that's a sight I could get used to." Mairi chuckled, using his words against him. She turned and left the bedroom and made her way downstairs to the kitchen, closely followed by Elijah. Mairi opened up the fridge and pulled out the apple juice.

"Can you grab the bacon, eggs and sausages please," Elijah asked as he pulled out a frying pan. Mairi put the juice back before grabbing the food items and carrying them over to Elijah. She put them on the counter beside him before heading back to the fridge for the juice carton. She walked over to the cupboard and pulled out two glasses to fill up with apple juice before putting it back in the fridge.

"I have really enjoyed myself, being here," Mairi said as she watched him cooking. "As eventful as it was, I really did enjoy this."

"I'm glad you did." He laughed as he continued to cook their breakfast. "Could you set the table?"

"Sure," Mairi said as she started to set everything up. Once she had finished, Elijah had finished cooking the breakfast and was just plating it up. They sat down and enjoyed their meal in comfortable silence. "I'll get the dishes," Mairi said as she stood up and took both plates.

"Just put them in the dishwasher," Elijah told her as he followed behind with the empty glasses. Mairi nodded and rinsed the dishes before putting them into the dishwasher as instructed. "I think it's time to get ready. You have a diner that needs your attention."

"Yeah, I guess so," Mairi said upset that this extended date is coming to an end. But she was happy because now there were no secrets between them. "I'm gonna go and change into my clothes. Am I still okay to use your jacket and hat?"

"Of course, I think you wear them better than I ever did anyway." Elijah chuckled as he watched her head upstairs to change. He himself was not far behind her as well, it was going to be a long ride back to the town and a cold one at that. Once he was changed into a pair of jeans and a thick plaid shirt he made his way down the stairs to see Mairi waiting for him.

"And they say that woman take the longest to get ready." She laughed as she took the black coat off the hanger and slipped into it. Elijah took his brown suede one and pulled on his boots. He opened the door and motioned for Mairi to go first. He followed her out after while putting on his white cowboy hat, while Mairi put on the black one he had given her.

"We get the horses saddled up, and head off. We should make it to town by lunch." Elijah told her as they waded through the waist-deep snow towards the barn.
