Alexandra POV
"Are you mad at me?" I ask Mom. She had been quiet the entire car ride.
She looks at me confused before looking back at the road, "What are you talking about?" she asks.
"Are you mad at me about what I said at the café? You have been quiet because I didn't mean it" I ask concerned.
She chuckles, "No, baby, I am not mad at you or anybody, just annoyed".
"Oh," I respond, "Are you going racing tonight?"
"Yes," she responds smiling at me.
"Is Aunt Mia going too?" I ask.
"Yes," she answers. I sigh and turn to look out the window. "What?" Mom asks confused.
"You know I don't like it when I have a sitter. Is it Isabella?" I question.
"Yes," she responds again.
"Great... just wonderful," I say annoyed while Mom chuckles.
"Can't I just come with you?" I try to reason.
"No" she responds quickly crushing my dreams.
"Why?" I continue to question.
"You are still too young" Mom explains.
"How old do I have to be to be able to come with you?" I ask trying to do anything to get away from having a babysitter.
"It isn't really an age, it is when your Dad and I think you are ready to come" she continues to explain.
"I am ready now" I try to reason.
"Maybe you think you are, but your Dad and I don't think so" she finishes.
"Is everyone gonna be home soon?" I ask as we pull into the driveway.
"Yeah, in a few hours," she says as she turns off the car.
We get out of the car and head into the house. As soon as the door shuts I look up at my Mom hopefully.
"What?" she asks smiling.
"Can we play the racing game?" I ask using my puppy dog eyes.
"Only for a few minutes" she responds as she goes to set up the game.
TIMESKIP
A few minutes turned into a few hours because Mom and I ended up playing the racing game till everyone got home. Then I went upstairs with her and Aunt Mia and watched them pick out what they were going to wear.
It got very boring when they started doing their hair and make-up so I left and went to play the racing game again by myself. Uncle Jesse came and joined me after he finished getting ready. About half an hour later all of the guys are ready and sitting in the living room, laughing as I school Uncle Jesse on the racing game.
"Finally! I didn't think we were ever going to leave" Uncle Leon spoke as Mom and Aunt Mia walked down the stairs.
"We still can't leave" My mom replies sassily. Uncle Leon lets out a groan and lets his head fall back onto the couch he is sitting on, "Her babysitter isn't here yet" Mom continues as she goes to the kitchen with Aunt Mia to make sure we have food to eat.
The doorbell rings suddenly, "Speaking of the devil" I say. I stand up not even bothering to finish the game with Uncle Jesse and I walk upstairs to my room.
I heard the front door open but I shut my bedroom door before I heard much else. I walked over to the bin full of tiny cars and start setting up a track for them to drive on. A few moments later the door opened and both of my parents walked in.
