Hogosha High, located in Toma an interesting beachside city full of captivating people; where sandals were worn year round. This wasn’t your normal town, near the beach were elevated grass huts with raised floors that resembled early Japanese architecture. The more you approached the inner city the more modern it became.

This is the birthplace of our main character.

Who am I speaking of you ask? I’m speaking of the young man currently running to the back of the school towards the bleachers near the soccer field where he normally rests when ditching. When he approached his favorite spot he quickly dropped to his knees and crawled kicking up the dirt around him paying no mind to his school uniform getting dirty. He sits up once he’s found the perfect spot and leans on a pole taking a deep breath and then slowly releases it crossing his arms.

He knew that he should have been in class. But Eiji didn't care. He didn't care about anything but relaxing. Laying down with a nice cold glass of orange juice and a comic book would complete his day. It’s true that most 17 year olds don’t favor going to school but it was more than not liking school with him. He wanted to be able to do whatever he wants. He didn’t want anything or anyone holding him down. This is what he referred to as “living free”. At this point, Eiji began to slowly drift off falling deeper and deeper into dream land.

Thud!

A sound in the distance followed by laughter halted Eiji's slumber.

Even though he was small the sound of the young boy hitting the ground was loud enough to get Eiji’s attention. Crawling out from under the bleachers Eiji stands up dusting himself off.

“Got damn it can’t a guy take a nap around here?!”

Eiji yells as he looks toward where he thinks the sound is coming from.

In the distance, on the other side of the soccer field there were five students huddled in a circle. These students didn’t look like teenagers at all. They were all freakishly tall for their age and were covered in tattoos, piercings and donned spiky hair. Their school uniforms were worn rebelliously sleeves torn off and shirts unbuttoned. In the middle of the circle stood the boy who was being harassed with sweat dripping down his face. This boy looked younger than the others, at least by a year.

The leader of the gang walks over to the boy with an evil smile on his face and says,

“How many times do I have to tell you Hako, when I give you my homework you have to have it finished on time”!

Hako looks up at his aggressor who is at least 10 inches taller and says with courage,

“But it’s your school work. I have enough to worry about on my own!”

Gator, the leader of the gang steps back in surprise. Gator looks around at his friends as they begin to mock Hako laughing at his failed attempt at bravery.

Gator looks back at Hako and says.

“See there you go, being selfish again. I know you are smart enough to do both of our homework. And, that’s why you are about to get your ass kicked, right now.”

Hako balls his fist in anger. He was tired of dealing with this everyday; being bullied by Gator and his crew. He was sick of the embarrassment too.

“Well screw you piece of shit!!! I’m tired of being your gofer!” Hako yelled with all of his might.

Whack!

Before he could finish Gator punched Hako in the face. Hako’s coke bottle glasses fall to the ground and shatter.

“Did I say you could talk back to me you little prick.’’ Gator yells. “Are you trying to make me look bad in front of my boys?” With blood running down his chin from a broken nose it was easy to see that Hako needed a hero.

The hero was not Eiji. While Hako was about to get the beating of a lifetime Eiji was walking towards a new napping spot where he would not be noticed by the group.

“Not my problem.” Eiji says not missing a beat as he continued to walk towards his destination.

“Stop evil doers!”

The voice echoed though the sky capturing everyones attention. Turning around Eiji could see that someone else had entered the fighting ground. It looked like a young girl about the same size as Hako. She wore a long cape. It was so long that it dragged on the ground behind her. On her face was a black Shinobi mask that covered everything but her eyes which were the same shade of red as Eiji’s. Flowing out of her mask was her blue hair which flowed down to her shoulders. Seeing this Eiji smacked the palm of his hand against his forehead.

“Man Tracy, can you be anymore of a dumb ass?!”

Eiji said to himself.

“Evil ruffians!”

“How dare you pick on the weak!”

Confused, Gator walks over to her slowly and says,

“And, who are you?”

“Who am I?”

She says.

“I’ll tell you who I am!”

Dramatically posing, her voice filled with intensity.

“Listen up peasant!”

“I am the lone hero of Toma city!”

“I watch over the all the weaklings that can’t defend themselves!”

“To the good of heart I am known as a shining ray of light!”

“But, you can call me Megamus Pow Pow!
