WACK!!!

The force of Renkopu’s book hitting the back of Eiji’s head made a sound that resonated throughout the entire classroom as if an alarm was blaring. The noise captured all of the students attention at once. Their teacher free lunch period was interrupted by a high pitched yet demanding scream,

“Wake up you lazy bum!”

She shouted as she stood over him. The anger she felt  caused her face to turn a bright shade of red. The book she held began to crack under the strength of her grip.

From watching her friend sleep throughout the school day she was prepared to give him a stern lecture during lunch period. That stern lecture turned into an assault very quickly when he didn't wake up the first three times she called him.

Eiji was stiff as a board. His face lay flat on the desk like an animal that had just been run over. At this point it was hard to tell if he was either asleep or in a coma. A bump quickly started to form on his head where he was hit. After a few moments Renkopu calmed down and noticed that the classroom was dead silent and everyone was staring at her.

When she noticed them, it caused a shockwave of emotion to move throughout her entire body.

Renkopu was embarrassed, she lost her cool in front of her classmates yet again. She was reminded that she needed to work on her temper but with Eiji around progress was slow. The silence was deafening in class 4c as she looked back at the 20 sets of piercing eyes that watched her.

Slowly one by one the students started to snicker. Making their own deductions about what had just happened and why Ren felt the need to beat one of their fellow classmates with her English text book. Swiftly grabbing the collar of Eiji’s jacket Renkou yanked him out of his seat.

Thud!

Eiji’s limp body hit the floor.

Quickly dragging him out of the classroom she awkwardly smiled and nodded as if her actions were normal.

“Nothing to see here guys go back to enjoying your lunch.”

Renkopu said, as she continued to drag Eiji out of the room.

It took a few moments before she finally made it out of the classroom. As soon as the door closed behind them you could hear the students burst into an uproar of gossip.

Renkopu drug Eiji to end of the hallway near the lockers which was a good distance away from the classroom. With incredible strength she effortlessly picks up Eiji with both hands gripping his collar and slams him against the locker. She hoped this would help awaken him from his slumber but to no avail. Eiji was out for the count. In fact, he began to snore loudly with a smile on his face like he was having the most wonderful dream. Instantaneously Renkopu’s anger resurfaced.

Renkopu released her left hand from Eiji’s collar slowly raising it in the air and swung it toward his face.

SLAP SLAP SLAP!!!!

Renkopu rapidly slapped him over and over again.

“I said wake up you stupid bastard!!!”

Winded, Renkopu tried to catch her breath as she examined Eiji to asses the effectiveness off her attack.

Eiji was still sound asleep.

Feeling agitated, Renkopu squinted her eyes in thought. Moving closer to Eiji she whispered in his ear.

“Dinner’s ready!”

Without warning, Eiji sprung to life breaking free from Renkopu’s grip. Briefly searching frantically for the food.  He stopped and scratched his head as he realized that there nothing edible in sight.
