"Look at Duck finally acting like he knows how to play the game". Luna taunted, giving Duck a backhanded pat on the back once he finally managed to shoot someone down. Duck, Thomas, Luna, and Indigo had been spending most of their time at Duck's apartment over the past couple days. With roughly a week left before Indigo's designated date of departure she was having mixed feelings about everything. She loved the city, Luna, and the way she was always included, but she was still unsure if it was worth the emotional rollercoaster.

After Indigo had left the cafe that day, she mindlessly walked until her murky mascara-tinted tears dried on her cheeks, and she began to resemble more of a sloppy clown than a girl. Her feet were numb by the time she'd finally arrived back to Luna's apartment. Knocking on the door twice she received no response, Indigo unlocked the door with her temporary key in case of the event of Luna not being home, for whatever reason. It was more of a precaution, but turned out to be useful.

Indigo thanked the universe, she wanted so badly to be alone and luckily she got her wish, but regardless of her emotions she couldn't ignore everyone, she checked her phone to find an abundance of texts and missed phone calls. It was unlike her to go long without being on her phone, but she'd fallen asleep without charging it the night before, and it had been plummeting from twenty-six percent since she rolled out of the wrong side of the wrong bed, so she thought it was best to stay off of it, at least until she made it back to Luna's.
