It had been two weeks since Sage and Sam had met. That meant two more weeks to find Dean.

Sam liked Sage. She knew how to make him smile when he didn't want to. They liked the same movies. They had mutual interests. They even went to Stanford at the same time.

Sam felt really close to Sage and Sage felt the same way. He looked at her differently now. He no longer saw her as the girl from the bar.

Sam sat on the edge of his bed looking at Sage. She had been trying to fall asleep but couldn't.

"Maybe if you didn't stare at me I could get some rest," Sage said jokingly.

Sam giggled and sat on his bed looking at the ceiling.

"You've been trying to sleep for an hour now."

Sam said jokingly.

"I know," she sighed "And it doesn't look like I'll be getting much rest anytime soon," she laughed.

Sage stared at Sam who was looking at the ceiling.

"What's on your mind?" Sage asked.
"Everything," Sam said.

He felt comfortable with her. He's never felt like this before. He felt like he could tell her everything and that she would listen.

Sage of course felt the same. She trusted him with her life.

"Have you ever loved someone?" Sage asked Sam.

"Yes, but it's been ten years and she is dead. What about you?"

"I've only loved one person. He died too," Sage replied.

"You've lost a lot of people," Sam said.

"You get used to it. After a while it becomes easier to get over. I'm sure you know what that's like," Sage said sympathetically.

"You know, after a while it becomes routine. Having this kind of life means losing everyone you care about. My brother and I would do anything to save each other. I've been to Hell and back and I've dragged his ass out of the fire for years now. Now he is a demon and I am afraid I won't ever save him."

"Sam we will save him. Two more weeks until he is back to your normal brother. I will make sure that he is saved. I promised you that I would save him and I am going to."

There was a long, but not awkward, pause.

"I can't sleep," Sage said.
"Me either," Sam replied.

They stared at each other with their heads on their pillows. Sam stared into her eyes. He saw her true beauty. She was the type of beautiful that didn't know she was beautiful. That made her more beautiful. Sam realized that he felt something for her.

"It's freezing in here," Sage said as she tried to warm herself up.

Sam immediately got out of his bed and walked over to hers.

Sage looked over at him and saw him getting into her bed.

"What are you doing?" Sage asked.
"Warming you up," Sam replied.

He pulled her into his arms and held her close. She could feel his breath coming from his nose. His warm grasp held her close and instantly warmed her.

"Crap," she thought.

It was that moment she realized she had deep feelings for him. They both knew they couldn't do anything about it though. They had a mission that needed to be solved. Sage knew that she couldn't fall for him. They both stayed still, and warm lying in each other's embrace. They both slowly drifted into a slow sleep.
